Mc donalds and other ball pits

i recieved a email from my step sister today reading;



McDonalds, Chuck E Cheese, Discovery Zone... All places with ball pits in the children's play area.
One of my sons lost his watch,and was very upset. We dug and dug in those balls, trying to find his watch. Instead, we found vomit, food, feces, and other stuff I do not want to discuss. I went to the manager and raised hell. Come to find out, the ball pit is only cleaned out once a month. I have doubts that it is
even done that often. My kids will never play in another ball pit. Some of you might not be parents, but you may have nieces, nephews,grandchildren, or friends with children.This will pertain to you too. As I read the following, my heart sank. I urge each and every one of you to pass this on to as many people as you
can. I cannot stress how important this is!
Hi.My name is Lauren Archer, my son Kevin and I lived in Midland,TN.On October 2nd, 1999 I took my only son to McDonald's for his 3rd birthday. After he finished lunch, I allowed him to play in the ball pit. When he started whining later on, I asked him what was wrong, he pointed to the back of his pull-up and simply said 'Mommy, it hurts.' I couldn't find anything wrong with him at that time. I bathed him when we got home, and it was at that point when I found a welt on his left buttock. Upon investigating, it seemed as if there was something like a splinter under the welt. I made an appointment to see the doctor the next day, but soon he started vomiting and shaking, then his eyes rolled back into his head. From there, we went to the emergency room. He died later that night. It turned out that the welt on his buttock was the tip of a hypodermic needle that had broken off inside. The autopsy revealed that Kevin had died from a heroin overdose. The next week,the police removed the balls from the ball pit. There was rotten food, several hypodermic needles: some full, some used; knives, half-eaten candy, diapers,feces, and the stench of urine. A little boy had been playing in a ball pit @ a Burger King & started complaining of his legs hurting. He later died too. He was found to have snake bites all over his legs & buttocks. When they cleaned the ball pit they found that there was a copperhead's nest in the ball pit. He had suffered numerous bites from a very poisonous snake. Please forward this to all loving mothers,fathers and anyone who loves and cares for
children!! What has this world come to?? If a child is not safe in a child's play area then where??

In all honesty things like this happen even with big companies like Mcdonalds, the ballpits might not be cleaned out that much, they dont think about them.

Maybe you should suggest toy uor sister dont eat in place like Mcdonalds and get her kids to eat real food instead of shite

My lil nephew don't eat shit for your FYI. that was a email she recieved today. My fault for "not looking into the facts" sorry there are ppl on here that are "GODS" and friggin know everything

 

While Poemgirl's specific forward does happen to be a hoax... I have seen toddlers climbing out of those ballpits with their pants positively dripping with urine. And I've seen kids frantically digging through the pits because they've lost a shoe, sock, toy... you get the idea.

So I personally wouldn't let my kids into a ball pit either. Maybe snakes & hypodermic needles is a bit extreme, but think about all the BACTERIA crawling around in there. Makes my skin crawl!

Exactly. Id be far more worried about what the kid was putting into its digestive system at mcdonalds

Are there still ball pits around? I don't exactly patronize McDs or other fast food joints with play places much, but it seems the filth of these pits was common knowlege a decade or more ago and they seemed to disappear about that time. I quit letting my kids go in those things long ago.

 

OMG, love. If that was my son I would go crazy. After I was done with them, they wouldn't have a pot to piss in. DAMN ! I hate hearing these stories. Why don't people do their damn jobs? No, all they do is stand around talking, or talking about others that work there, and saying that they deserve to get paid more money. Yeah, right !

 

coming from dakotas mom it was a hoax. But still kids barf and urinate and have their hands in their diapers all the time. Which in that case their should be more workers and more sanitary cleaning every 30 minutes.

 

lol... Poemgirl, I guess that was my point. Even if your original post WAS a hoax, they're still not the best place for ones kiddies to be hanging out.

There are still ball-pits around. Most of the ones I know of are all older though - looks like they're trying to phase them out of existance? I know of a few places around my area that still have them though, and when we vacation all along the (US) east-coast I see them EVERYWHERE!

Im sorry but you can seriously fuck off love, Do you even think that I would feed any child anything that i wouldnt eat!!! Maybe you come from a family that eats msdonalds, KFC and/or burgerking (and more) all the fucking time but i can assure you that I dont eat anything like that, I would prefer that I eat food that has been killed humanily (or by me which is the best way) and i dont eat shit.

I would make a suggestion to you my love and say ask ya sis to stop feeding her kids shit and feed them real food so they can grow up in the way they are intended to without processes shit and all them chemicals that 'fast food' places put in them.
i can honestly say i wouldnt allow anyone to eat anything from 'fast food' chains unless they know what has happened to the land, animals, people etc.
Maybe im not like you and eat real food, maybe you should look at your life
