...is near! No I'm just kidding. So I was reading through the rabbit hole thread below, and it brought me back to my ideas on infinity. First of all I am aware that our lifes don't end after our physical bodies die, and I hope all of yall are too. There is an energy body, ofcourse, that walks away from our physical bodies after we die...unscath and invulnerable to pain...(just for your info, this energy body dies soon after our physical body does; after that we're left with the etheric body and we are in a new 'consciousness' or 'dimension' so that Earth is unrecognizable). So after that we are free of the responsibilities of Earth (and imagine that). Supposedly we are free to roam the universe and gain wisdom, and 'capacity to love', and yada yada... But what happens after that? After we have learned all we can and gathered all the wisdom possible. Will our consciousness (or awareness of ourselves) ever end? And what will it be like? Forget the world, when will the universe end? I think of the prospect of living life for infinity will be forever boring...but what will it be like without any consciousness? Will we be as stupid as a wrench? As immoble as a windowsill? Can you imagine being so unaware that you are a chair? So what do yall think about the end? The absolute end of everything and all awareness! While were on the topic, whats the meaning of life if it will all end?! Is there an end? Do chairs actually have awareness? What I'm trying to say is, infinity means never ending. And that would suck. I can't believe there are people who want immortality. I wish I could elaborate more but I'm lazy and House is coming on....
This progression from physical, to energy, to etheric body, sounds to me like your personal insight into what might happen after death, rather than the widely accepted fact which is implied. ;P Thanks for the 'info', but I wonder where you got the info from? I agree with you that I think that something of ourselves continues after physical death, but I don't believe that our rational mind lives on at all. I think that who we are, as individual thinking, emotional, sentient human people, ends forever at death. All those characteristics were created out of our life experience, so I don't see how they can continue after life. I do, however, believe that after death we may still experience consciousness, meaning simply, an awareness of being. I do not mean an awareness of being anything in particular, like a human being, for we would no longer be a human being, but just an awareness of existing. I believe that consciousness is inherent in everything that does exist, including chairs and that we need to understand that this is different to our intellectual minds as human beings. The atoms that make up our physical bodies have all existed since the big bang according to popular current theory and the energy which is bound up in those atoms, as far as we know, has always existed. This energy changes from one form to another, but ultimately, energy is all that we are. Because we are energy, and our energy changes from one form to another, getting mixed around and being sent all round the universe, we can't really say where we end and where someone else, or some other thing begins. Every thing that exists is linked in some way, to every other thing that exists in a relationship of inter-dependent causality. We are a single living organism. Actually, we are the entire universe which is infinite and eternal and as such, the very concepts of space and time don't really exist other than as an illusion within our human condition. Just being you for infinity might suck, but I think that just 'being' the universe might actually feel really cool and wouldn't get boring at all, even if we could feel boredom, which we couldn't because that is a human sensation. I could elaborate more, but you might get bored or I might get in trouble from my boss for not doing any work
You asked where I got the info from? Well I think I got that little piece of information, of my now full theory of death, after Googling something. The internet is a great pool of information, let me tell you. A few months ago I got the idea to try and astral project from this very forum, and after that my knowledge of life after death has expanded tremandously. Actually I know a very good site where it explains ALOT, just PM me if u want to know it. I haven't astral projected yet though but I am so much more aware of my spiritual self. Just PM me and I'll give you that site that could change your life and perception of death.
if i was immortal id have a hell of a good time i would learn all and do all and once i have compleated this i will teach all once i teach all i will begin again to learn all
