What do you call it when...

a word is spelled the same forwards and backwards. Like noon.
What is the word for a word like that?

 

A palindrome?

i've always wondered why palindrome isn't a palindrome. couldn't they have made up a better, more explanatory word? or was it too hard?

one of the most uncreative names for a park, but its a palindrome, yeeehaw.....and where is this park you may ask.....why its in the town where i live...

nope....look it up in the dictionary....it says nothing about numbers.....
