but i figured id post one and see what you all think Existentialism and Me What does existentialism mean to me? Is it a religion or just a philosophy? There are many meanings it could prove to me, But what does existentialism mean to me? It means that if i'm walking down the road, And I stumble over a passing toad, And I ram my head into a wall, It is not the toads fault at all. Or if I visit a federal place. And a bomb explodes near to my face, And it just so happens that I die, My death is not the bombers fault, but the fault of I. It means if I get a haircut, From a big ol' barber with a big ol' gut, That I should not blame him for the bad cut job, Rather I should blame myself for going to that slob. Well, an existenialist would never ask for such help, Because he is independent and out for himself. And he would rather become disowned from his mother, Than turn in a test which had help from another. You see, in existentialism, there is no divine, And the basic question is, "Your fault, or mine?" But the answer most certainly has to be, That all responsibility falls on me. So am I an existentialist or not? I have really thought about it a lot. And for my success I believe there should be, Credit given to others besides just me.
I wish it were true, really I do.. I loved your poem, but common sense should tell us that being in the wrong place at the wrong time.. Is not a crime.. Oh..
