I was looking to start wadering around California. Anyone doing or about to do the same? Has anyone done this before? Know of any spots that are a must see?

i wander free . tis an art to doing it well i spose , anyway it seems i keep on learning . you don't know anything ? why would you be good company ? you at least gotta show you're more than a daydreamer . what you do about that ? maybe first you just get a little smart dog to travel with and go some bit somewhere . i don't know what you do , just do it or don't . maybe you could trip the greyhound . it's easy to get service dog papers and ride the bus . a bus ticket is 70-100$ to anywhere in the states . the dog needs to fit under the seat . or get a goat . i don't know what you do . if you simply intend to spend money and drive around in cali by car ... probably that's boring unless you are a good writer and can write a fancy story about something short of the true dream of wander free .

i'd been travelling this year since february , 'cept at the moment i'm putting in a garden and get back to it later for the harvest . so , can go to the national rainbow gathering mid-june or maybe forget that and get to washington and play wild a flat-picker guitar contest . that's all that's been in my mind for the bookends of what next to do . wander , meander some . sleep under that beautiful tree . drink deeply of the good water and beyond confusion .

Life is merely a long lesson. I have grown tired of the ways of people in this money filled society and wish to live the raw form of life and set out relearn my internal animal/human instincts. I want to live a life along the lines of a pre "civilization"/post "Apocalyptic" world. No Motorized vehicles, a thumbed ride here or there is an exception. This is not a dream of an On The Road epic. This is the real back to reality. Sunday I will be walking from Davis to Stockton, Ca and from there I plan to head south. Naked streets are dirty roads. Barefooted and barely clothed.

if you want to wonder in the woods of California make sure you make it to Paradise. It is a great little town. I camped there for about a year after high school. I loved it.
