5 months ago I started doing painkillers (ie. codeine, vic and oxy) on a daily basis with a two week "break" in the middle. By the time I quit two weeks ago I was using three times a day and 120 mg of codeine, 10 mg of oxy and 120 mg of demerol all snorted would barely get me blown. I tried quitting for the second time two weeks ago and I have gotten past the worst of the physical effects however I still have a hard time sleeping at night. However my problem and thus question is about cravings. A question to any post junkies out there, do the cravings ever go away and if so when. Thanks

Nope, they never go away Im sure of it, been told by lots of old heads the same. Once you taste that beauty, how could the urge to feel that again ever go away?!

I don't get the pain killing effect I guess. Maybe I've never gotten hurt on opiates. I don't really remember...

But no. They never go away. Morpheus has you in his grip.

Sorry buddy. They'll diminish in time, but they'll NEVER go away completely. Trust me, 6 years of oxy and hydrocodone binges and insane withdrawals has kinda made me knowledgeable about those kind of things. It sucks.

I was afraid of that. Do any of you have and expierence or knowledge with/about ibogaine. I have heard that such hallucinegens help with withdrawal and perhaps cravings.

Good Luck getting Ibogaine. I don't know if there is any sort of research with it going on that you could be used in or anything like that, but if you really want to give it a try you could always go to a country where it is legal (dk where you live but im in the US). Other psychedelics have been known to help with addictions also though.
