Alright People, I Need Your Help (Pirates of the Carribean 3)

My friend reallllllllllllly wants to go see Pirates of the Carribean tonight and I promised I would go with him. The only thing is, I never saw the second one and I haven't seen the first in years.

Now, will I be completely lost without having seen the second and having only a vague remembrance of the first? Also, could someone maybe sum up the first two for me so I am not completely lost when I go in?

Your help would be very much appreciated.

Sorry, haven't seen any of them. I did get the first season of "Life On Mars" on DVD today. Great show!

The lead character in that show will be playing "The Master" on the current season of Dr Who. You know, the Time Lord who went renegade. I'll get that one as soon as it's available. My brother bootlegs anything good on BBC and sells it on the intarweb.

i didnt' get to see how life on mars ended. i lost my satellite at an inopportune time. it was reallly frustrating.

 

The girl from the first two seasons, Billy Piper, who played Rose, is gone. Damn she was hot, had that slightly thick body... sexy overbite...Erm... I don't know who his new companion is, haven't seen any of the third season yet, but I have it on disc.

I would say just like...don't go and rent Blazing Saddles or something 10000000 times superior to Pirates instead.

 

I agree. I've not managed to sit through any of them. I prefer less complex storylines.

 

I went and saw part three yesterday. It was kind of drawn out, my nine year old fell asleep.

One thing though when you watch part three, wait for ALL the credits to roll before leaving the theater. Thankfully my daugther Bree knew to stay most people left and didnt get to see the very ending of the movie.

 

LOOK OUT! It's a trap! Like in the Dr Who episode #43, all the people left in the theater were eaten alive by aliens who then assumed their identities!

it's not to say i didn't enjoy the first two movies very much. they're right up my alley. escapism and beautiful people dressed like pirates. perfect. but i don't wanna type it all up.

I own the first, didn't think it was so complicated, but still not my type of film.. Sorry, I mean MOVIE!

Although, that would be the reason I hate the Lord of The Rings Trilogy.. Pointlessly drawn out and elaborate...

 

Pirates 3 sucked....I hated it. Such a disappointment.
They had too much shit going on and this and that and storms and ships.
And Calypso? Wtf? She grows into a 50ft woman and turns into......rats?
Wow. Cool.
Ugh. So over it.
Oh, and I saw some clip online....it plays after the credits..
It's just Elizabeth and some little kid (probably her and Will's son)....and it's 10 year later...and Will comes sailing in cuz he's a big badass pirate now.
Lame.

 

I will have to agree with the lord of the rings........ sorry, I could not get into these movies AT ALL. I watched the first one in the theatre and was bored out of my freekin mind....... and it was way too long. the second lord of the rings I saw on hbo or something like that, and that too bored me...... I didnt even watch the third installment.

blazing saddles on the other hand, brilliant.

pirates of the carribean, the first one, wasnt bad.........

 

LOTR sucked... all 3 of them... kinda pretty... but... terrible, terrible movies.

...and I agree... the first Pirates wasn't that bad... it was original...

You don't make sequels for that kind of movie. (Unless you want money.)
