My boss is opening up a Mexican restaurant tomorrow, and both his daughter and her fiancee and myself think it would be a fine idea if he payed me to play traditional Mexican folk songs in the restaurant while wearing a sombrero. :H But I don't know any traditional Mexican folk songs. Anybody have any suggestions?
i kinda wanna eat at this restuarant. i always dance when eating a burrito in a mexican restuarant with mariachi music .. its fun to embarrass your friends haha.. and its just catchy music.
There's also "The Beatles" I was thinking of those too.... and also of making my own up, though i know no spanish just put a whole bunch of words together that sound fun..... what a great idea, huh?
hahah. i have to visit seattle before i go anywhere else. sorry already told derek i was going to find a way up there. i hope hotels are cheap. haha
Look for anything by Vicente Frenandez, Marco Antonio Solis, Los Buquis, "Mariachi", and so on. Try to Wiki it...there are so many, and traditional Mexican music is divided into like 500 sub-genres as it is... it's an insane man. Try www.lacuerda.net good tab website for songs in Spanish.
Just rosciato some open chords and improvise with your harmonic minor scale. With some tremolo picking, you're granted at mexican/spainish sound.
