I'm a diehard Chiefs fan. However, their WR corps is beaten up and the season hasnt started yet! They want to get Dante Hall in more plays but thats going to wear him out with his kick returning duties. He may not have enough gas to break a long one then. But, I wouldn't discount them totally out of it, last year they were one of the top offenses in the league with a totally mediocre WR group. The bulk of the passes were hauled in by Priest Holmes and Tony Gonzalez. Too bad their new TE got hurt otherwise we'd see more two TE sets which would be great for the Chiefs offense. The defense is still in question. however, even if they just bump up their playing to average defense in the league, the Chiefs will be legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Denver is going to have a nasty nasty defense this year with the addition of John Lynch and Champ Bailey. Trading Portis was a good move, as Denver has always been known for a solid power running game and they are wise with choosing a decent back. However their offense just isn't as good as the Chiefs. The Patriots I think are the best all-around team, . Their west coast offense style is perfectly matched for Tom Bradys throwing. I think Brady is one of the more underrated quarterbacks in the league.I'm looking forward to the matchup Patriots-Chiefs this year, I think it will be an exciting football game, and perhaps an AFC playoff game preview? The Eagles should be interesting, but I've never been a fan of McNabb, he needs to show more consistency with his accuracy. I think Terrell Owens will be McNabbs favorite target. And T.O has shown he can pretty much catch everything you throw at him, but he does have a bit of an attitude and demands the ball alot, I don't think McNabb will mind that so much. Oh the Colts! Peyton is the best QB in the league hands down! If only he could scramble athletically like Michael Vick, he'd be the greatest ever was and ever will be! Marvin Harrison has super glue on his hands, The Colts are super dangerous, and their defense can pull through when it counts, having won the puntless shootout against KC in the playoffs. But can Peyton pull it together to get to the Super Bowl? I think he can. Maybe not this year though. Thats about it for now, oh yeah and Steve McNair is a fucking robot! If he can just stay healthy, hes really scary to watch sometimes!
I Love Football! I am a football junkie! I love college and pros just the same. But, I am a HUGE Chicago Bears Fan! HUGE! This will be the first year that I will not be in fantasy football in a long time. The league that I was in fell apart due to too many idiots in our league and the other one that I was in is just way too expensive for me to join this year. Go Michigan! Go Bears! ~namaste~
I'm a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan and I couldn't be happier since Bill Parcells took over and turned them around. As for the Super Bowl, I say Patriots and Eagles (although i HATE the Eagles) and I think Tom Brady is too much for McNabb. Patriots take the Super Bowl once again.
I worked with a Bucs fan *that year*, so I watched a lot of football and started to like it... I've played lots of NFL 2K2 and similar since then... When I saw Vick run across the field and make all the other players look like they were in slow motion, I became a Falcons fan.
Imagine. The only Falcons fans that existed before 2002 were Atlanta residents and a few stragglers who never left after Deion Sanders entered the NFL with them. Neon Deion left, the Falcons lost their flash, then all of a sudden, enter Michael Vick. Now everyone loves the Falcons again.
I don't know who will win this year, although I called the Buc's superbowl victory in November that year. I love Tiki and Ronde Barber (NY Giants rb and Bucs db). this year, some of the changes have shocked me. ricky williams retired (although I do admire his commitment to doing what HE wants to do, not what everyone else says), Staley went to the steelers, and a REAL shocker, the qb for the cowboys is -guess who- Vinny Testaverde. He's the oldest active qb in the league! I almost shit myself when I saw him play. anyone a giants fan? B/c if you even care a little about the team, you should want to STRANGLE the dumbass who signed Kurt Warner and back up Eli Manning as their main QB's. Warner sucked the last couple years w/ the Rams and was plagued w/ injuries. That's why the Rams cut him loose. Eli never impressed me when I watched him play in college. he's not Peyton by a long shot, but he does have some potential. Warner already got hurt in the opening game! What in the hell were they thinking? Collins wasnt the best qb out there, but he was pretty good and a better choice than a.) a guy who should retire b.) an unexpierenced rookie. my favorite team is the colts b/c their my home team! Peyton's a great qb and he & harrison make a dangerous duo for opponents!
Ok whoever said they liked Michigan, I've got news for you, they suck, always have. Ann Arbor is a whore. Who's got the winning record? The BUCKEYES. Sorry I'm from Ohio, Bucks and Brownies baby Bucks and Brownies.
Can someone answer me this? Why is it called Football? Just a curious question from a soccer (which has a much better claim to the name football by the way ) loving scotsman, so don't give me abuse, i'm actually genuinely interested in how that name came to pass.
Right, so a game played mostly with your hands is called football because its across the atlantic? Thats the bit i don't get... its the same with Rugby (officially called Rugby Football) - it should be called Handball!!
LMFAO! It's time to change the bong water. Better yet, maybe you should sober up a bit. You're dillusional....................... ~namaste~
