Ok....got my nose pierced today. Surprised, didn't hurt as much as getting my ears pierced. A couple hours later, there's mild pain....normal I know. But, annoying. Told by Tuesday (this is Friday), that I can take the piercing stud out and put in a proper nose ring (going stud)...what I want to know is about how long does the mild pain last for.... Also, I've been leaning on the 's' hook for the nose ring cause once I put it in I won't be taking it out really, what's the opinions based on the 's' hook, ball and the bent one for ease of putting in and staying in....no pain please, I'm a big chicken
Advice I can offer is to keep your stud or whatever you wear in your nose in a TCP/ water mix when you are not using it, that way you'll never get an infection . ( + TCP stops pain too ). Didn't have any pain problems with mine that I remember, so must have been the TCP lol
piercing stud, for a nose? shouldve had a ring, and shouldnt take it out til its fully healed. i have a nose stud in now, but mines been healed for oh, 5 years. anyway, mine just has one big bend (about 90 degrees but curved into it) then curves around in a semi circle to keep it from falling out to easily
Piercing stud, eh? So I'm guessing some asshole took a gun to your face. Get a captive hoop. I hear tell that's what you're supposed to use for fresh piercings. I can't stand the look of 'em, so I just used an L-shaped stud for my first. Whatever suits you best, really. I don't like those crazy swoopies because they tickle and I wind up constantly picking my nose.
I've always had a ring in except for when my nose got really infected once and the piercer dude put a stud in to help it heal up, and it worked brilliantly. I'd leave the origional in until it heals fully either way. Infections suck! And as long as you care for it properly the pain should go away pretty soon. Just help it heal. Do they really do people's noes with piercing guns? They are not supposed to gun cartledge.
Thats what TCP is for . put it on 3 times a day until after 5 days + not any infections . + in my case, yeah, it was a gun to my nose, + I didn't feel a thing cos it was so quick
You're not supposed to gun anything. Piercers pierce just as fast as a gun, if they're good. Oh yeah, and they don't fuck cartilage up like guns do.
yeah def should have been pierced with a ring but anyway it hurts much more during the healing ic ouldn't flare my nostrils for a while, i now use the nose bonz, it is a stud but instead of curving like a nose screw it is straight with a little bump on the end so as not to fall out, i prefer these
yeah, you should not have been pierced with a damn gun! and change it in a week? you shouldnt change it till its healed. but of course, if you have unsuitable jewellery in there, it better come out. go see a proper piercer and have them change it for a cbr (ring) or a proper nose stud.
i like the nose bonz they don't stick out of your nose, sometimes the nose screws don't fit exactly and tend to raise up i like thin smal hoops too
Oh noes! Do NOT change it in a week! Wait at least a month! And I prefer nose studs. They're kinda painful to change if the ball on the end is big. But it's quick and not too annoying. But really, wait at least a month.
dont touch it. leave it alone. put that bactine shit on it. and make sure u move it around.. after about 3 weeks or so after everything is healed.. replace it
Like the last couple of people have said, wait at least a couple weeks. Don't clean it too much either because that also is a risk for a infection. Make sure you twist it a little every once in awhile. Also, when you change it, make sure you keep it with the right gauge or else it's going to hurt or close up a little. As for the types of jewelry, I hate those curved ended ones. They're a pain to put in and take out. Rings are fun but make sure you know how to put the ball back on before taking it out. My favorite are called nose pins. It seems like they would fall out but mine still haven't. It's hard to find studs that aren't boring around here.
