hey everyone :) im new here, this is an awesome forum im so glad i found it! i dont know anyone with dreads besides myself :( everyone around here are snotty rich people.

my dreads are maybe like a month old now. i backcombed and waxed, although the ones in the back still wont stay together, the front ones are super tight and dont really need wax anymore except to keep the frizzies down.

i dont have many good pics of them but ill add some more to the gallery.

wax just glues your hair together, your hair needs to move and let itself dread. my head is a total mess and iv had dreads for nearly 6 months and they are still barely knotting but time will tell.

anyway....welcome! post some dready pics up on here for us too that would be kick ass!

like he said wax only glues your hair together in clumps that resemble dreads but will never be dreads\
you need to remove every bit of waxz to ever get dreads
wax is exxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxtremely difficulkt to remove
if you dont remove all the wax you will end up with tons of dirt & grime trapped in thre wax
    it will also trap water
    trapped water wioll cause mould
wax is absolutelky the worse thing you can do to dreads
caking your dreads in mud is better for em then wax
you never want to put anything in your dreads that doesnt just rince out easily

we need a wax removal sticky thread
soak your dreads in the hottest water u can stand & scrub with bronners over & over & over till you get it all out
have some1 help you you can be in for hours & hours of work
your dreads will maybe all fall out thats fine theyre not dreads anyway only candles
when the wax is all gone resection & be patient

Hello!! My name is Cassandra and I'm new around here. ^.^ Thanks to the advice I found on here I was able to do my brand new dreads without the wax and crap that people kept telling me I needed to use, so thanks!

And here are my new dreads, done with backcoming and nothing else ^.^

ive had mine for sometime over a month now, maybe close to two. as you can see the ends of them are kind of straight which annoys me, cause the ends curl up sometimes it looks dumb.
the front dreads are locked really tight, but the back ones still need some work. i just worked on the ones on the very bottom closest to my neck today, i havnent been able to give them much attention, they are neglected lol.

cassandra your dreads look great. i HATE having long hair, but im kind of excited for my dreads to get longer.

Mine are only about a week old right now. Thanks Burdiepie! Yours looks great too. ^.^ Having longer dreads is fun, but it took -forever- to backcomb in.

Only a week? Cool. My girlfriend just put hers in like 3 days ago. I think she might be a little worried about it but I know everything is gonna be fine with em. I don't remember how long it took mine to tighten up.

    Hey babies, I'm Meg. :D

Not really new to this forum, new-ish... I've had dreads twice before but had to part with them for one reason or another, but these ones (I'm determined) are here to stay... I've been poppin around here lately seeing what's happening, dreadless, and just re-dreaded my hair last night. :D

I like to sing/write/guitar, I like to cook, I like to sew, I like to laugh and dance and hula hoop, and I do not like wax. :D

    There's the new dreadies :D
