My dreads 7 months in

Hey all, finally feeling confident enough about my knots to post them. Pardon my mad fly aways and stupid expression Really think they're starting to take shape now

It's really weird what I see and what other people see :S I thought they looked shit for 7 months.. Starting to feel alot better about them now. I have had moments of weakness where i've wanted to cut 'em off. But i'm far too attached.. far far too attached

 

Doing well I know what you mean about those moments of weakness :/ but the guys on this site are so supportive. It makes so much difference.

Yours look very similar to mine! mine are about 8.5 months old and I have so much flyaways. don't worry about them, yours are great!


I am a bit worried about all of the loose hair at the top of my head, I keep thinking/saying "it will "fix" itself, until then, whatver, it is what it is" No one else seems to have any =/

 

dude, i got loads of loose hairs on top of my head. it makes it look frizzy. but who cares? at least it's not full of wax

 

Ahh thanks for all the helpful encouragment guys Damn nice of you, it really helps! But itwas full of wax at one time! When i first did them, but yuccck it was foul and they felt disgusting. So i took a few pots of boiling water to my head and alot of scrubbing but i got it all out in the end. Felt like a glorified human candle.

 

For 7 months they are looking great

Like a crotechting/latch hook? Might give it a go, or convince someone its a good idea to help me hehe.


I'll take some pictures of the back when i get in, i've got rainbow dreads from a hair dying incidient that went horrifically wrong. Got some blondes, greens, blacks.. good fun. Never use stargazer dyes!!

 

I thought about the crochet idea...it seemed like a hell of alot of work to me...and frusterating for my big (bass playing) clumsy hands...

good idea with trying to get someone else to do it Malphas! =p
