My friend found a shit-ton of these sunchoke plants in the garden of her new house, and is still cultivating the tubers from it. I took a bunch home not having any high expectations for flavor, but I am amazed and surprised. Cooked, they taste a lot like a potato, but the skin has a very hearty, almost nutty flavor. I just like to roast them with a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper like a potato in the oven, and they're fantastic. I'm definitely going to try to include some in my garden this coming spring - I'll eat tons of them

Well they aren't just random plants. They've been used as a food source all over the world forever. My friend just knows a shit-ton about plants and knew what these were when she found them.

uh....They aren't UN-real or UN-grown, nor are they UN-organic. They grow naturally, in the wild, without help. That's just about as natural as it gets. Did you even read the article I attached? I'm just sayin'...

I've heard of sunchokes. I've eaten them at an organic cafe.
