300,000,000 ppl "HAVE" to be fed? Why? Why in the world did we need 300,000,000 ppl in the first place? A society with some sort of fair capitalism has to balanced. 300,000,000 humans huddled up next to each other is not balanced.

In order to distribute all monies evenly among the US population, we would all have to live in the same standard of life.

This will never happen. I think 1% of the population own 90% of the nations wealth. WTF?

After each relvolution we always wind up with the same instances because simply that's what a revolution is. It's a system that keeps on revolving over and over.

There is the corrupt elite in the world now. They will accomplish the new world order. A planet with one state.

Meanwhile a revolution is brewing amongst the poor. The poor eventually overthrow the elite after thousands of years of suffering. They now look to a new free world of promise and harmony.

As time passes even this new revolutionary nation becomes corrupt. They create a capitalistic nation and the poor revolt.

I do believe there were good intentions for America in the beginning. I believe early Americans invisioned a true free state. But like history always allows America fell to corruption and evil.


The old motivational saying, "You can be whatever you want to be" is the biggest crock of shit ever.

You might be tricked into thinking the system is set up so that if you try hard enough you can accomplish anything in life. Bullshit.

First off lets take a look at the draft. Yes the draft as in the 60's version doesn't exist anymore. Because they made a better version. Flood the television PROGRAMS with violence, fill the radio PROGRAMS with violent rap music.

PROGRAM these children, whose minds are still in the middle of development, to be "gangsters" and killer and then they wind up in jail, duh. Not the kids fault the radio PROGRAM told him to kill everyday.

So now they offer these kids a choice of long jail sentences or enlist in the army. A very effecient recruiting stsyem.

The government has grants yes that -could- help become successful in captialism, but who gets these grants? Who knows about these grants? How do you find these grants through the maze? And would you even be looking for a grant because all you've been taught your whole life is to work at the sugar mill. You follow me?

Nature is the only fair place. We think that technology is progression but it's the exact opposite.

Technology is doing things in reverse. The animals of the world have it all figured out. They have no worries that they created with technology. They don't have bills and cars that fuck up the air and politics.


We are going backwards in evolution. Think of any technological thing. Now think, has it REALLY benefited the world in any way, REALLY?

I'd rather piss from trees and hunt wild boar with my bare hands like the animal I am and have been for millions of years. And if some old gray haired guy comes along telling me he's the president and I better obey him, I can rip that bastards face off and feed it to a wild dog.

I appreciate your response. From my experience, although it is known that liberals are open-minded and conservatives aren't, I have found that practically it is the other way around. Keep that in mind, and try your best not to reply with ad hominem statements. But of course you are free to speak as you wish.

If you believe in civilization and not anarchy, then it is the responsibility of the state to make sure its people are fed and do not die of starvation. We may not need 300m people but thats the fact we must live with. Your last statement is a bit confusing, I don't know what you mean. What's the difference in balance, between 1 m people over 300 m people?

A capitalism has no cap on ownership, an individual could theoretically make as much money as he most possibly can. I stand by my earlier statement that the capitalism needs reform. To support your WTF statement, 50 years ago an associates degree was all you needed for a good job. 25 years ago, an associates wasn't enough b/c everyone had one, you needed a bachelors. Today a bachelors isn't enough for the same reason, now you need a masters. What's going to happen in another 10-15 years?

I would laugh if I wasn't such a serious person,= P How do cattle grow? Same way a human being grows, out of the twat of a female. If you believe in God, you can say He "grows" us just like cattle. Nobody grew me, I came from my mother and I emmigrated from one place to another, and from where I came from, and where I am now, I have obedience to the state because it is the biggest gang around. If we lived in nature, we would still live in some form of tribe or family, and then you could say the same thing about them growing us like cattle. If I'm not mistaken, a revolution is simply a change. American revolution was a change from colonialism. French Revolution was a change from monarchy. Industrial Revolution was a change from manual labor to machine labor. The Enlightenment (aka scientific revolution) was a change from emotional thinking to logical thinking. I don't buy your response to my question of why revolutions have still produced the same format for civilization. I stand by what I said that we simply haven't found a better way. Of course there is corruption, nature is corrupt, and thus man is corrupt. See my later reply on nature to explain that further. As for the one-state world, what's so wrong about having one state? Everyone will be under unison of a set of laws, freedom of speech, religion etc.. all that good stuff for everyone. More control, more balance, equal opportunities. You might say it won't be a world democracy, it will be a totalitarian oligarchy that oppresses. In anticipation of this possible reply, I will say why? You have every right to state that theory as I do my theory on world democracy, but please back up your theory with some kind of argument. Just the fact that we are aiming for a one-state world does not automatically mean it will be an oppresive body that will enslave and destroy.

I agree that America has not lived up to the ideal state we had in mind. I do think it is an upgrade over anything else we have had. We are not free, but we are freer than most (B. Maher). I refuse to believe that this is maliciously intended, I still hold out the possibility that economics and bad management/lack of knowledge could have stunted our earlier ambitions. Perhaps the leaders of America were afraid of the masses and this is why we aren't an ideally free state, but it is natural to be paranoid and you can't just call them evil for believing such a thing.

I agree, I think our teachers lied to us a bit when they preached that phrase. Let me present you with a scenario... A poor man with no wife and just one son moves into a wealthy businessman's estate because he was given a job by this rich man to tend to his mansion. The son attends a public school but lives in this rich neighborhood in a small servant's house. The son reads a lot and is very intelligent even though he is in public school. The local kids take a liking to him because this poor kid has street knowledge and is very likable. He also is learned from his readings, and is polite and well-mannered and their rich parents do not mind him. When he grows up he attends the same ivy leauge schools as those rich kids because his grades were exceptional. Now, except his history, he is exactly the same as those kids, he goes to the same school, and he talks/acts the same way because he was raised around them. When he finishes law school, one of his rich friends hooks him up with his father's law firm because he and his father knew this poor kid all their life, trust him and know he is very intelligent. Eventually he does so good as a corporate lawyer he is put in high management positions at this rich father's corporation and eventually this once-poor kid enters politics.
I know this might sound far-fetched, but could this not be a story that once or twice happened in America, or could happen in America?

We are all programmed. When your mother kicks your elbows off the table, or tells you to chew with your mouth closed, you are being programmed. If you don't like it and want to become an uncivilized savage (in the non-pejorative snese), then proceed with caution because even nature will program you without your consent.

When was this harmony that you speak of? Was it when the dinosaurs were killing each other because they have not the intelligence or moral compass of a civilized man? Was it when there was no intelligent life on Earth? Is the planet Mars in harmony?

He only wrote those doubts on paper as ideas, but he didn't actually practice/believe those doubts. I believe you are making a similar statement here. I am not chastising you for it, I think its wonderful you share your ideas, because there are many who probably feel the same way.

This is a completely irresponsible remark. Not only do I disagree with you, but I beg to say that you are flat out wrong. Nature is unfair, skewed to favor and reward those that lie, cheat, and steal. It provides the fruits of life to the strongest and leaves behind the weaker to die a cruel and unfulfilling life. This is why we created civilization, so man can make things fair (or fairer). We can't possibly be perfect, but we create laws and administer controls so that nature can't enact its cruel ways.

The animals of the world have it all figured out. They have no worries that they created with technology. They don't have bills and cars that fuck up the air and politics.
They may not have bills, but they have to live every second of their lives concerned with getting something to eat and drink. They have to worry about survival, they have no means to justify wrongs or reverse damage done to them. If a lion kills its only meal, and hyenas steal it from him, that lion will starve and die. If a man loses his only meal to a thief, another man (the state) might come and feed him or take back the stolen meal from the thief and give it to the starving man.

Technology isn't supposed to benefit the world. It's supposed to benefit us. And it has by making life easier and more efficient. Of course there are bad and unwanted consequences. But with the bad comes the good. And if you want to take my word for it, nothing good comes without bad.

We do not create evolution. Nature created it. As much as it seems like we shape evolution today, it is still nature shaping it because nature created us. Thus if nature created us and we are manipulating evolution, then this must have been natures intention or otherwise we wouldn't be here.

You know my kind… Well, I think I have an idea on your kind (b/c I was once like you, or at least like you in the mind train of thought about these issues). You’re the kind that believes blood is really blue (it’s not), or that we only use 10% of our brain (we use all of it, we only use about 10% or so at one given moment). I’m not ashamed to say that I believed those things too, but then I found out the answers. How? I stopped believing those around me, and actually picked up a book and looked it up. (I don’t really know if you believed in those things, that was fluff to build up that last sentence in bold that I believe is really important)



Here’s my problem with “your kind”, aside from the earlier point about you being cynical about gov’t and not nearly as cynical about the conspiracy junk you read. To find knowledge on economics, government, society, and even life!, you must read bro. Lots and lots of reading. And not some shit somebody wrote on the internet. Read stuff that has been read by thousands of other people who gave it the thumbs up, and not just joe shmo, but scholars, professors, and lay men alike. I’m just glad I’m 20 years old and I’m out of that stage of blaming other people, and the establishment, for my own short comings. I’m so glad that I’m understanding these concepts because some people get stuck in that frame of mind for their entire lives. And more often than not (probably 100% of them), achieve nothing, do nothing, accomplish nothing, and end up with nothing but their rantings against society and government.

Finally, yes shit is fucked up. I believe corporations have hijacked our government and that America no longer belongs to the American people. Our influence and interests are dwarfed by those of big business. Former president Eisenhower famously included the “military-industry complex” in his farewell speech as he warned Americans of the danger of having big business controlling government. This hideous machine, labeled as the “military-industry complex”, is evident in the war-profiteering happening in Iraq today. Read about General Smedley Butler (forgive me for not having his entire title and name). He exposed war profiteering in World War I. In his speech, he didn’t just rail against government like many conspiracy theorists do. He provided facts and let you make your own conclusions. To me, this is the best way to do it. I'm not against psychology, but I believe that the common practice of psychiatry (ie, involing prescribing psychiatric medication) is a sham.

It is extremely misleading to buy into the idea of "chemical imbalances" as being "causes" of mental illness; because the truth is that chemicals are fluctuating all the time throughout your body and brain and are completely subject to external influences. Many things can alter the "chemical balance" of your brain, such as social interaction, exercise, sleep, the food we eat, and the like. Drugs don't cure problems; only symptoms (and even then, they still don't often work as is the case of people with brain damage via psychotropic drugs.)

 

Om mani padme hum! I am an example of the success of psychiatry.

I don't think it's fair to completely write off medicinal psychiatry as a sham.

I have two friends that suffer from forms of schizophreina, before they recieved medication they were simply not able to function, one became extremely withdrawn, unpredictably aggresive and mistrustful of absalutely everyone they know to the point of locking themselves in thier flat for days on end without eating, and drinking just enough water to barely keep them alive. Since he started taking his medication he is back to how he was before the schizophrenia surfaced, he has a good job, a girlfriend his own home and a son. He stopped taking the medication once because he felt he no longer needed it and within a couple of weeks he was on a very rapid downward spiral, luckily we convinced him to go back on his meds and he recovered almost as quickly, he hasn't stopped taking them since and everything is fine for him now. If it wasn't for psychiatry and the medication they developed he would almost certainly be locked up in a mental asylum or dead or living on the streets with all sorts of hell going on in his head.

My ex girlfreind suffered massive depresion and anxiety after she was raped and then suffered a misscarriage and everyone that knew here did everything we could to help her, talking to her, spending time with her, giving her all the help we knew how to, but it got to the point that she just refused to get out of bed for 22 hours a day, this went on for several months, she just lay there crying untill she was exhausted and then sleeping some more, shed start to get a little better and then shed get much worse again. She dropped to 6 stone in weight because she barely ate.

Eventually she agreed to go to counseling and she was prescribed anti-deppresants and benzo's to cope with her anxiety. It took another few weeks but eventually she started to get back to normal and she was able to cope better. After a few months her psychiatrist recommended that if she felt strong enough she should cut out the benzos so she did and she was fine without them. After another few months he changed her to a different anti-depresant and eventually she told him she felt she didn't need it anymore. So he advised her to stop taking it but continue to go to her counselling, and let her counsellor know if she was struggling without the anti-depresant.. About a year after all this started she was strong enough to leave the counseling aswell and now 3 years on from that she has been perfectly fine since. If you break your leg sometimes some people need metal crutches to support you untill your leg is back to full strenght. If you suffer a mental illness sometimes some people need a chemical crutch to support them untill thier mind is strong enough to support itself.


I don't deny that alot of the time people seem to be out there looking for a quick fix to thier problems and thier seems to be psychiatrists that are all to happy to dish the quick fix out to them in pill form and watch the cash roll in, but it is extremely closed minded and arrogant to try and tar all mental health proffesionals with the same brush, or to think that anyone that avails of thier help be it medicinal or otherwise is just unwilling to face thier problems or seaking easy awnsers.
