Ok, seriously, there is not enough love for spots in this community. This might be indicative of the fact that I live in New Zealand where stoner culture is really different from American stoner culture (where the majority of people in this forum are from). But seriously, hot knives are fucking sweet. You don't use much bud but still get a fucking good high. It makes social situations really sweet cos you can share a smallish amount of pot between quite a few people. Have you ever done hot knives? Would you do them again? Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spots to find out about spots if you've never done them/don't know what they are.
i didnt try it but would like to. it's Quite hard for me since I still live my parents and would probably have the kitchen smellin like pot. I am definitly gonna try it sooner or later though.
ive heard that spots are less wasteful than other methods, but it's tedious. i probably will do them one day, but for now i've got my bong
I've done this several times throughout my life while camping and had nothing to smoke out of otherwise. I refuse to toke out of a tin can or soda can. I would/will do it again if ever in the same position, but not willingly in my own home do I ever do this method of smoking. It makes me feel too much like a crack head when I do hot knife it to do it more often. *shrugs*
i was wondering how do you actually place the weed in between the hot knives? Do you like poke a paper clip through a lil nug and just put it in there and pull out the clip before it touchs the hot knifes( i imagine the paper clip could melt).
usually just press one hot knife to the bud and it sticks, then bring the two knives together. everything you said about the paper clip is just...no.
i've done hot knives too many times to count in my smoking career, and to be honest, if your not smoking hash or oil with them, then it's more of a novelty then anything for weed In a kitchen using stove elements, is typically fairly chill if everyone is down, but then u have issues of tracking ppl down for hoots, people dropping out, people scared of taking too much and wasting weed, people knocking over the hoots you've divied up etc. In other scenarios, where you have a portable setup, it's typically a hassle as well, u have to find somthing to break the hoots up on and lay them out, heat the knives with the torch serve the hoots, and repeat Overall, it's a good thing to do once in a while, but unless your coughing your fuckin guts out after every hoot, you arent getting all that much higher aside from smoking a joint, it does conserve weed, but who cares about saving little .1 nuggets? I consider myself to be a Pro server when it comes to knives, but it's somthing i dont really find myself urging to partake in anymore, I will do it if it comes by, but even with my setup within arms reach, it will stay in my closet most of the time.
I love knife hits. It is better for a 2 person smoke out, but I like it. I do them when I get a chance but rarely have time to bust out the blow torch.
Man when I was living in fredericton,me and my buddies were always doing knives. I don't think I had one butter knife that wasn't burnt, nor do I think there was one day in the whole 5 months I was living there that someone didn't do a blade session. I had the butter knifes spread around in like a circle around my burner. It was amazing. Lots of good times with "blades" as we also used to call them, and lots of good times to come too, oh fuck yeah.
Aye. Im from NZ too. I was curious because spots is more of a NZ thing. They have a nice sort of icey taste to them, nad are good when your low on bud.
at 10,000 lakes festival last year my neighbors had a "Horbler" which was a bubbler used for smoking hot knives.. they had custom blown hot knives as well.. it was fuckin sweet.. smoked some amazing hash out of it...
You could try: make some hash take a couple of cigs and dip them in tell they are a but soaked or depending how thick your hash is just cover it so it's a bit wet, let it dry and smoke your cigs Have'nt tryed hot knives tho, will maybe give it a bash ...someday...
