Okay, until today, I thought I knew what being high felt like. After today, I'm just confused... Usually when I smoke weed, I just get tired and tingly all over. I usually feel really fuzzy or numb inside, and just feel like I'm in a haze. We usually get weed from the same person most of the time. The weed that we smokedtoday was from a different person, and we had never smoked their weed before. My friend rolled a rather shitty joint (Containing 1g), and we went to the top floor of a parking complex, high above the busy downtown streets of my city. It was very sunny/bright on the rooftop, Hot, but with a slight cool breeze. We (My closest friend and I) lit the lousy joint and each took a few puffs followed by an extreme coughing fit. (I always feel like I'm going to cough up my innards after I take a hit. Sucksss. Maybe I have asthma or something.) I remember thinking to myself that I wouldn't get high because I couldn't hold it in, and for some reason, I'm always thinking I'm not inhaling properly. After we burnt the joint to the end, I started to feel something. Something strange. I felt overwhelmed with heat and sick to my stomach. I literally felt like I was about to spill the contents of my stomach all over the streets below. I decided I could no longer stand, and sat in silence on the ground, waiting for the awful feeling to pass. Eventually after a long period of silence, I realized the sick feeling had passed, so I stood up. I talked to my friend and tried to find out if this was normal, and then I just assumed he didn't understand how I felt. I was staring at my hands at the time, and everything started getting extremely bright. My eyes hurt really badly, and I told my friend to come with me into the sheltered stairwell. (I's basically a small vertical room with stairs going from top to bottom. Closed off from the outdoors) When inside, I thought many funny or rediculous things, and tried to explain them to my friend. During a theatrical explanation, I interrupted myself. "Okay man, so have you ever thought, like -Holy crap..." Everytime I changed what I was looking at/focusing on, it was like a strobe light on a slow setting. Or like the perspective of someone shooting a series of photographs. Sound was also wavering, like when you put your head near a fan or plug one ear, whilst rapidly plugging and unplugging the other. Everything was also extremely colorful or bright. Besides all of that, I felt like I had been doused in gasoline and lit on fire. My body was tingling, especially my face and legs/groin. I also had trouble walking. Our High Ramblings: We decided it was hot inside, so we went outside and looked over the edge of the building for something to do. I said to my friend, "Man! The whole fucking city looks like the sims. Or like, a stage. The ocean and everything up to e horizon looks like a god damn painting or backdrop, and all of the buildings look like wooden 2 dimensional painted props, overlapping each other." Strange thing is, he actually knew what I was talking about. He got it, exactly, he continued to even better exlain my discovery. He said "It's like 3d models of a city. Like, you can see the depth, and it looks real, but you just know it's not. Like, by the texture or something. Or it's like some model city display type thing. Like at a museum." Anyway, the whole point of typing this last paragraph, is to have you guys understand that we were both obviously thinking the same thing, so was it just that I had never actually been truly high, and the feeling caught me by surprise, while seeming completely normal to an experienced friend? Is this actually what being high is like!? Am I just a n00b that's never been truly high before? : P
that sounds aweful. might have been a better high under better conditions. i think to me, coughin from pot is like throwing up from alcohol. it just ruins it. people get high to veg and just feel chill.
'Twas just a way to decribe the tingling feeling. It wasn't a pleasurable feeling, it was like a burning sensation, thus, feeling as though I was "On fire." I suppose I just could have said "I felt an unpleasant tingling." ; p
I remember when I used to get high like that.... Yes, you are a noob. I think that is the first time I have ever used that term. or is it n00b?
Dude you just got really baked. Normally it will happen the 2nd 3rd 4th or 5th time you smoke and a couple of times after that. I tended to enjoy the intense high and the tingling did not bother me that much. You pretty much decribed everything perfect especially the sound like your ear is by a fan.
What?? We've been over this, coughing is not a bad thing. It just means you took a hit too big for yourself, after the coughing stops your blazed as hell tho. The other night we had 6 people on a bong and we decided for the next pass everyone was to hit it as hard and deep as they could. We made ourselves cough, after the bowl was gone we were all in our own worlds just chillen.
The same exact thing happend to me when I first started smoking. I didnt get high untill the 5th time I smoked, the first few times I thought I was getting high but I obviously wasnt. When I actually did get high though, I was so overwhelmed with the feeling that I got a bad high . I couldnt understand wether I was dreaming or not so I started freaking out bad like hugging my firends and beg them to wake me up from this nightmare ( felt like an ass later). anyway Once I realized that there was nothing to worry about and that I just was "high" I had greate time
Everything and more of what you said happened to me the first time I ever got high. Except, I seemed to actually like the tingly feeling... Yesterday I hjad been smoking all day, and eventually everything I looked at took on a 3D quality, can't really explain it, and I got them picture frame like things, me and my friends call them clips, cuz everything seems like clips when you are really blown. I smoked every day so I just don't normally get that high. But I hadn't smoked in a week cuz I was on a week break but damn. I was fucked up yesterday.
Hehe, I'm glad to know this is normal, because I want to feel it again. Although I thought everything felt strange and uncomfortable at first, I got used to it after about 5-10 minutes (It really felt like half an hour : |). After calming down a bit, I accepted it all, and just felt really good. : D
NO WAY DUDE! If you cough when you ussually don't it ussually means its dank shit! Yeah dude I know exactly what you mean. Ussually after I smoke I start invonluntarily twitching in my legs. It makes me feel really uncomfortable but after like 15-20 minutes it goes away and i enjoy the high. I've only had an upset stomach once though and that's because I hadn't eaten anything all day and then I got the mad hardcore munchies and after I ate it went away.
actually when a person coughs while smoking it can actually get them higher because ur gettin more oxygen to the brain.
I actually like the clips and flying through my thoughs. Not only my legs twitch though. It's all of my body. But I only twitch when it's dank and/or im so high im tripping.
I don't know what tobacco you smoke man. I never feel like that and I smoked 2 bowls of shisha, 3 cigars, and 5 cigs in a night lol
one time i vaporized some weed with a bunch of keef on top of it (in the Volcano). i didnt even know what i was doing after a while. i felt really anxious and nervous, especially in my legs. it was like they were off-set somehow, so it was really hard to walk. i think i had a cold sweat going, too. my friend who vaped with me just sat there the whole time, playing guitar, half-watching what i was doing. after a half hour, he looks up at me and says, "dude, what´s wrong with you?" of course, that whole time, i was telling him what was going on. he was too high to have it register. that´s probably the last time i´ll ever do that. at least with only 2 people. i love getting really high, but that was too much.
I remember the first time I felt like that.. Me, my friend Gary, and my friend Nick were smokin' up in my room.. It took like 5 minutes after we'd smoked to realize I was high - it wasn't until Gary pointed out how my eyes were barely opened that it registered to me I was baked. (It was Nick's first time smoking and I don't think he got high like me and Gary did) After it came to me I remember feeling a bit sick like I'd pass out, so it caused me to pace around a little bit and eventually I went to the bathroom for some reason (I guess to look at myself, I didn't use the bathroom). The world was going back and forth like one of those old motion pictures - or like switching from one reality to another. I remember getting up a lot, switching between sitting on the futon and in a chair. I was baked enough to say that 'everytime the world changed, I will say "I keep drifting off" in a weird voice'. And I did. So pretty much like every couple seconds I'd say it. Funny fuckin' day. We were blazed all day too, from like 12-8. Then smoked some more in my sisters room with her strobe light on. At that point I didn't know what the hell was going on. I couldn't tell when I was high and when I wasn't. I thought I was still high the next day at school because I was still having them head changes. Wish I still got high like that too, but it doesn't happen to often now. EDIT: Oh yeah forgot to mention I had the hotness and cold sweats too. Tingling, etc. All that you mentioned seemed to be there.
lol. no dude you useually get higher when you cough coz your smokin good quality shit so that's what's gettin you higher hehe...
