Are there any worthwhile drugs that are synth-able from more common chemicals? Also, please something legal. So that leaves cat out.

As for easy to make legal drugs. No. No 'legal' drug that's worth something is synthable by the average person. A lot of 2C's and tryptamines are legal, but those would not be easy to make. Just do Nitrous. You could probably make Methcathinone and Methamphetamine, but again, they're illegial.

You could grow a range of plants for their psychoactive properties.
