ok so this is going to be patricks first year as a father on fathers day and I want to do something special for him... any ideas? I just want to do something cute and simple to make him feel appreciated but I can't think of anything special. i can't even believe that it's already mid june. where has the time gone?? anyways... and ideas would be very much appreciated.
Sleeping late, a back rub, favorite meal, and hand made cards have worked for the last almost two decades for me. I know your baby is a little young to make a card, so you make it, put your babies handprints in it and sign it with his name. I've still got the first one I received.
I like alaska's idea That's what we did for my husband his 1st year too - the footprint card One print from each foot, connected at the ankle makes a perfect heart shape! My kids saved up to get their daddy a mousepad & mug with their pictures on it to take to work this year. He finally has his own cubicle, and can bring in personals like that & the kids were SOOO excited about getting to help him "decorate" it this year! love, mom
Wow it must be so nice to have a loving family that even NOTICES a day like fathers day My son is still too young to know about it lol Maybe next year will stand out? Then again Im a single father so everyday is fathers day to me
I like to find a special photo of daddy with the girls and put it in sepia or black and white. Get a nice inexpensive frame, a nice card, and foot/hand prints are always very special!
You can get some modeling magic almost anywhere. It's like play doh only it hardens much nicer. Do footprints or handprints or both in it. I have a set of handprints for Dakota from whenhe was two and again when he was just four. Kathi
Im suprised! I AM actually appreciated on fathers day this year My ex is taking me and my son out to dinner with her sister (who is a dear friend of mine) and their father. I take back my depressing comment from yesterday

No, I didnt know that. I know that there is Mothers day, but we dont celebrate that either. I ve never bought anything for my mom at Mothers day. But she doesnt seem to mind.
