So I have decided to get my first job, but I am not sure about the whole drug testing thing, if I get caught will they inform my parents? Will there be a permanant mark on my record? Does anyone know of a list of current drug testing poilcies for basic stores (aka grocery stores, office store, etc) jsut stuff a teenager would work at.
they usually just tell you that they wont let you work for them because you failed a drug test. nothing else, move on and find another job
in my experience, grocery stores and the like either don't test or test using saliva or urine. saliva tests are notoriously bad at detecting marijuana; you should be fine if you don't smoke the day of or before. search the forums for information on urine tests. there are dozens and dozens of threads on them. they won't alert your parents.
most "first job" type jobs don't test, and if they do find anything they will just not hire you and leave it at that. if you're really paranoid you can go to your local headshop and buy some of that system cleansing shit, but it's probably just a waste of money, especially if you don't know the company's testing policy
