what can i do about little finches + sparrows digging up my seedling, before they even hatch lol. im about to spray some pepper, soap, garlic spray on them. shuld that work? is there a easy way to stop them, they have already got me for about 40 seedlings. i need to get a way to control them so i can safely plant more, thanks. PS - im pretty sure its birds, it looks liek something sat on the edge of my cups and picked around with a small instrument (beak) and ripped the seed from the soil and left the casing.
You could use the shiney christmas ribbon when that blows in the wind it scared birds away. Also if they are landing on the rim of your cup birds dont like sticky stuff on their feet. I know there is some stuff you can buy just for that or i bet glue or something close to it would work but you would have to keep applying it when it dried.
If stickey is a thing, USE LOTS OF DUCT TAPE!!!! AHHAHA! The birds will land and be stuck for EVER!!!!!!
i just fenced them off. i have to start some seeds again, should there be enough time? i hve about 2 months of vegging left, that should be enough time to get them what, 2-3 feet maybe? with some nutes + some lsting, i should be able to pull of a`tleast an O off a plant, right?
Why not just start them inside wouldnt there be a higher sucess rate as oposed to haveing seedling outside?
