i'll bet every single dollar i have, that u cannot built one of the caliber of a lower end Alienware/Falcon PC yourself, even if it is similar in components, u just do not have the testing and electronic capability as a home builder.
I used to be really big into EQ back in the day, thats why me and a buddy [who currently playes Wow] are getting into EQ2, the thing with new MMORPGS is they take forever to get good, although u are starting a new with everyone else, things to be implemented etc. are always lacking i can trust that EQ will be a good story and have great additions always being added, hell i was even tempted to go back to EQ1 lol good to hear man, i only did like research for 2 hours before i bought the comp, and i kinda figured what i read was enough anyways but it's still good to hear other opinions it's amazing what a little research can do, for 42$ more i got a MUCH better processor, as well as a way better video card
Has anyone herd of the Pentium D 805 that can be overclocked to 4.1 ghz stable? Well yea....I own that chip
For an extra $30 they would have smuggled that in behind the screen! Sadly my parents wouldn't choose that option
yea ive heard of that and i hear it runs pretty hot and liquid cooling is best for it. yea u can make one of them all thats in a computer from a manufacturer can be bought from other places and all the manufactururs do is assemble them for you and make a huge profit - for example my stock computer had a BFG6800GT and i ordered a BFG7900GTX from BFG technologies through newegg and if there from the same company they are the same just a diffrent case because they might pay for a costom modle that cant be sold to the general public.
Macs are fine, but the thing is, for the price of those higher end mac's you can have an INSANE PC thats why I always laugh at those mac VS PC comercials, like..yea your comercials insulting PC's can go on forever, but the bottom line is the average family household is not going to fork over 2500$+ for a computer
uhg..yes you can buy the same components but you do not have the ability to test and tune a PC like the large companies do, also you do not have the same facilities as they do for assembly When i walked in to grab my PC today from the place I ordered it, even they have a static/dust free room for all their assembly with like 5 visable vents for air circulation, your telling me you have this in your home? and the place i bought this PC from is like a stupid wholesaler who a tonne of ppl order computers from, you dont think Falcon northwest doesnt have facilities SOOO far above that when they are selling 18,000$ pc's? you people just dont get it, in this world there's 2 things you can guarantee, 1) your gonna die and 2) you get what you pay for.
oh and one more thing, i'm not hating at all on the people who build their comps themselves, i think its great and it definatly saves money and is a great project umm games i play.. currently, Battlefield 2142, Counter-strike [a bit], Everquest 2 [soon] also started playing STALKER shadows of chernobyl a bit, but stopped, probably play more once i get my comp up and running any other new good games u guys suggest?
Alienware SUCKS and is WAY over priced. I bet every dollar I HAVE that I could easily build a computer myself that is equal to or greater than a low-end Alienware computer. I could garuntee it would run better and proform better. Especially if I had unlimited funds, and you never mentioned price...and it might even be cheaper.
If you like having no life what so ever play WoW. If you get in a good guild and raid its so much fun plus you make a lot of really good friends too.
I already played Wow and it sucks compared to Everquest 1 thats why me and a buddy are going to be playing EQ2 until darkfall comes out
I never played everquest but what i heard about it wasnt to good. That there was hours and hours of walking (i thought wow was bad sometimes) and the quests hardly told you anything. But how long did you play wow for cause the real fun stuff is the end game content.
everquest wasnt just "a mmorpg" it was THE MMORPG to be honest, i've never felt the same way for any game i've ever played as i did with EQ, it was soooo unbelivably awsome before they released all the add-on's Walking far distances was a part of what was so great about it, it was real, Wizards and druids could teleport, but only higher leveled ones, the content was just like sooo freakin awsome i cant even put it into words as for wow, i played until i was lvl 42, and my buddy had a lvl 70 the whole "instance" idea is stupid, in Everquest you had cuthroat guilds who owned the whole server, they ran the economy and had godly power amongst the players now with wow, everyone has a "fair" chance and it's just boring
