    Yea, just like I said.
It comes down to a matter of belief in the authenticity of the Bibels words.

There is some speculation that "Manna" is actually mushrooms based off there description in the bible. So what you shouldbe asking is "did jesus do mushrooms?!?!" :)

Blackline, I think your post ridiculous, in an un-rude way. if to harm the body is sin, then is it sin to breathe polluted air? or to slow oxygen flow to your brain as you hold your breathe to squeeze a big dookie? 'harm' is an idea that has no objective meaning. also, Jesus lived in an altered state of conscioussness, and all the prophets either bs'ed their way or had altered states.

but for the original question, I doubt he smoked it in the sense we do now with joints. but I bet he experienced pot throught the insense of the temples and the holy oils.

    Flesh of the Gods.
But could be anything, much like the Hindu use of Soma :)

I agree with asilos, the only way I could spend 40 days in the desert without food is with some serious psychoactives.

Actually, there are stories of MANY gurus and saints who have survived incredible lengths of time without ingesting any food.
You should read Autobiography Of A Yogi by Paramhansa Yogananda
Incredible stuff friend. Much love in this world :)

If you fall over, it is an accident. Same with breathing air pollution, you can't help that. To knowingly allow something to harm your body is simply sin. Putting things in the body that harm it is sin. I didn't make the rules, God did. Plus, what are you talking about 'Jesus lived in an altered state of concioussness'? I don't speak hippie.

Why would they censor Jesus smoking pot? Marijuana was seen as no big deal until the 20th century, my friend.

krsna, I'm not saying jesus had to have had shrooms, I'm just saying that I personally would need such things to make it that long.

blackline, if you don't speak hippie why are you here? I guess I mean he was clearly on a different trip than most people. his reality tunnel was curving a different way than the masses. he used a different grid to observe reality than the bulk of humanity. those are the best ways I can put it. I'm saying that he was functioning like many peole do on drugs. cite:

they might not have taken the bit about him smoking weed out of the books that made it, but it might have been in different books that weren't included for other reasons. also it could be censored because if jesus used pot to talk to god, so could have someone else, and so the catholic church would have lost its religious monopoly and so its power and control.

Seriously? Do you really stand by this statement?
Im not doubting you man, it just seems strange to me thats all
If you think so then more power to you!
    haha
Personally, I think psychedelic drugs would make me bug if I couldnt eat for more than 3 days.
As of now, I only eat about 4 times a week as it is, so naturally I would have an easier time than most to sacrifice food for spiritual purposes.
I've trained myself to learn when to actually need to eat, instead of letting the stomach rule my mind. We dont always have to eat just because we feel hungry, the modern mind has been conditioned to believe this is true though.
But, if I were to survive in the desert without food for a prolonged period of time, I most definitley would have to be sober, and in deep trance like meditation repeating the Maha Mantra :)

Most stoners would disagree with you but you're actually right, IMO. Peyote isn't very pleasant with the sun beating down on you - no food or water. Instead it just makes you feel like a mental patient, from experience.

    Yea I can imagine!
I've not had any mescaline to be honest, but the times I have taken sillyscibon and LSD during camping trips in the summer, going on hiking trails and what not with no supplies definitley turned my mind into mush
I cant imagine tripping in a desert with no water! Crazy :)
