    Has anyone seen this video?

Bush Sr actually calls for a New World Order in a live televised speech.

    See here for video: http://www.911researchers.com/node/439

I wonder... is this good news, or something of concern?

There's another video link there too, regarding GWB's grandfather Prescott. That one makes me wonder even more...

Depends how you percieve a ''new world order''
To some CTs it is the elite ordering the world for themselves and ''big business'' etc etc etc.
In other peoples view it is not so sinister and is moving politics forward..

I don't see it as sinister.

The term "new world order" has been used to refer to a new period of history evidencing a dramatic change in world political thought and the balance of power. The first usages of the term surrounded Woodrow Wilson's Fourteen Points and call for a League of Nations following the devastation of World War I. The phrase was used sparingly at the end of the Second World War when describing the plans for the United Nations and Bretton Woods system, in part because of the negative association to the failed League of Nations the phrase would bring. In retrospect however, many commentators have applied the term retroactively to the order put in place by the WWII victors as a "new world order."

The most recent, and most widely discussed, application of the phrase came at the end of the Cold War. Presidents Mikhail Gorbachev and George H.W. Bush used the term to try to define the nature of the post Cold War era, and the spirit of great power cooperation that they hoped might materialize. Gorbachev's initial formulation was wide ranging and idealistic, but his ability to press for it was severely limited by the internal crisis of the Soviet system. Bush's vision was, in comparison, much more circumscribed and pragmatic, perhaps even instrumental at times, and closely linked to the Gulf War. Perhaps not surprisingly, the perception of what the new world order entailed in the press and in the public imagination far outstripped what either Gorbachev or Bush had outlined, and was characterized by nearly comprehensive optimism.

'New Regional Disorder' might be a better term for what's happening now. A system where a few elites in DC make a handsome profit by creating unrest in particular regions of the world that invokes the U.S. military and the corporate war machine. Not to mention help from the corporate 'news' networks that do a psychology job on a gullible public and convince them to believe that all of this is being done for the sake of trying to create order and a better world for all of us as well as free bumper stickers rallying support for the latest war provided kindly to everyone by large corporations such as Mall-Wart.

The term "New World Order" was coined long before George Bush Sr. used it. The first person to make reference to a "World Order" was John Dee, who was the official advisor to Queen Elizabeth I in the 1500's. He also coined the phrase "British Empire", and suggested that a world empire be set up based on the British system. This system would be based upon free trade and economics, which would standardize the same cultural and economic system throughout the world. This first went into action with the British East India Company, and the agenda was really pushed forward in a big way in the late 1800's with the creation of the Round Table groups, which would later become the Royal Institute of International Affairs (RIIA) and Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), which are spearheading the push for a one world government today.

There is only one New World Order. It's just that there is an exoteric explanation for it and an esoteric explanation for it. The exoteric explanation describes in sugar-coated terms what in reality is a world government based on neo-feudalism and collectivism. When Bush Sr. referred to the New World Order in his speech from 1990, this is exactly what he was talking about, though it was phrased in a way as to not sound too overt to the sleeping masses.

This system could only be looked upon as being benevolent to one who has not studied the history and the people behind it. They are unaware how a small few people have been given the right to print money out of nothing, controlling people and nations through a system of debt. They don't understand how this system has been behind every major war going back to the French Revolution, and how these wars are used to even further centralize power and control into the hands of these elites in their push towards a world scientific dictatorship. They have not seen the documents that openly talk about a world government, or their plans for culling large portions of the population as an end game for this agenda.

This is a controlled system that people think is normal because it's the only system they've known. People don't understand that what they accept as normal in their lives has been given to them from the top. This not only holds true with the media and the education system, but literally every facet of our society. Many people see government as a good shepherd, but governments have never been for the people, by the people. They have always existed for the Elite, by the Elite, to keep the "little people" in line and subservient to their fascist system, working and paying their taxes so these few at the top can remain living in the utmost luxury.

In Public: The New World Order is a more integrated global economy supporting worldwide business and promoting free trade.

Privately: The New World Order is move to centralize power, and abolish most state sovereignty. The NWO also means comodification and commercialization of everything. Globalization and the New World Order are completely synonymous. "Don't call it tyranny, call it security.
