A buddy of mine has been looking for a safe pill that may aid her in her diet and exercise. I did a bit of research on green tea pills, but have not found anywhere that it is safe. Anyone have experience with them? Thanks, PB
Well I heard that drinking green tea speeds up the metabolism? Which would help weight loss... Id just go for the tea, It has many other health benefits as well as tasting nice and speeding the metabolism as mentioned =)
For dieting, it's better to drink tea, not to take the pills. Even if you drink more than 4litres a day, it's not really unhealthy. The pills are just an expensive way of getting the chemicals contained in green tea. The Tea those pills are made from comes from China, and that is not a place to buy healthy food. Just buy a good Japanese or Indian Green Tea in a Tea-Shop. The Indians produce Green Darjeeling and Assam. Even better is Japanese Kuki-Cha (low in caffeine), Sen-Cha (standard tea) or the luxurious Gyokuro. If you want a VERY high dosage of the tea chemicals, use Matcha, the ceremonial tea powder (just ground tea-leaves, nothing chemical), but that is high in caffeine. I think Matcha is practically identical to the stuff in most tea-pills, but it will be MUCH cheaper and safer, as the Japanese have high standards when it comes to tea. An alternative it South-American Ma-te, which is known to suppress hunger-feelings, something Green Tea doesn't do.
She can try taking Spirulina, it's a type of algie, you can find it basicly in any health store.. It doesn't help burn fat but it minimizes your appetite a lot, it works trust me, if you do it right that is. Plus it's full of good things for you=)
Green tea is good for weight loss. In fact Green tea has also helped aid weight loss by increasing the metabolic rate, causing those who use it to experience greater calorie burn. Green tea may be useful as a glucose regulator -- meaning it slows the rise in blood sugar following a meal. Hence drink green tea instead of the pills. You really don't need to take a pill or spend a lot of money to get this stuff into your system.
They have multi-vitamins with green tea in them, so you’re getting your daily vitamins and helping with metabolism. Taking them, drinking a cup of the tea and going for a run daily would make you healthier, faster, and keep you in shape...and they are about the same price as other mv's depending what brand, I get the no name ones
ime seventeen years old an about 7 months i weighed 290 pounds i started to drink this tea called wu long tea and it has done wonders for me, i now weigh 239 which is still a lot but look at the amount that i lost. p.s i went to the gym like 3 times a week for about a half an hour so thats not that much exercise so i think that the weight loss is mostly from the tea.
