I germinated my seeds in a paper towl and about 48 hours later put them root tip down in soil and placed them in my grow closet. I took a soil tempature and it reads 85-90 degrees F verying in the time of day and gave about a cupful of water in the morning. they have been in ground for five days and nothing has come up. I dug up one seed and found that the root tip looked burnt. Can I do anything to save these?

Turn off the grow light untill the seeds have sprouted. Let them sprout at room temperature. The light doesn't do any good untill the sprout has broken the surface!

What is the air temperature in your grow cabinet? Have you got a ventilation strategy to control heat?
