Hola, my friends! I was at the body mods place today (Adrenaline) and I noticed the raddest things I've ever seen- clear glass plugs with real preserved insects inside! Some had a spider, some would have an ant, or a beetle, or whatever; they were wicked. Anywho, I was just wondering if anyone knew of any good websites that might sell them (this place is superly overpriced)? Or at least what the hell I could google to find a site? Typing "glass plugs insect" doesn't really work :p Thanks a bunch!!

    Peace and love,

Umm, I work with hot glass, and I don't think there's any such thing. I've seen preserved bugs encased in lucite (a hard, clear, polymer product) but in order to encase them in any kind of glass the insect would burn up...

A quick google search led me to this (and I'm sure there're dozens more): http://www.anotherhole.com/store.php?crn=199&rn=265&action=show_detail

It's probably just what you saw a that store, but it's *not glass*.

If you're interested in real glass plugs, please get wih me. I'm working on a line of them, so if you tell me your gauge size I can come up with something nexttime I'm able to work in my studio. :)

Ahaha thank you sweetie- I didn't realize they were lucite, but it makes perfect sense! Once I'm up a couple gauges I'll definitely talk to you, I was considering it anyway :) Definitely before I go to South America in May! It'll either be a 6 or a 4, do you go that small? I'm only at an 8 right now, but I wanted those insect ones for once I'm eventually bigger.

Yeah, no problem. 6 is where I planned on starting to sell them. PM me when you know when you'll want them, with whatever color, style, and price preferences you have. :)

It was probably amber, not glass.
