i heard those 911 calls on the news yesterday. i woulda grabbed one of those triage nurses by the balls and held on until she got attention and / or the cops showed up. that's the most fucked up, stupid thing i've ever heard. apparently that hospital is one of the worst in the nation.
Yeah they've had many problems, this is not the first time. But I just don't know how you do that, how someone is capable of just watching someone else die and be so unphased. I'm also pissed off about the other people in the ER, I mean if I was there, perhaps waiting with someone or not in dire need of attention and had a car, I would have been taking her elsewhere.
Yes,this is the concern we have for peoples health here.Or as an insurance company might say"fuck her--one less we have to shell out for"!And in the news today---that prick in the insurance industry that made a BILLION---yup--a BILLION DOLLARS in pay.
This is a bit like our NHS. There are a lot of neglectful nurses and doctors. The NHS is responsible for nearly two thousand child deaths including newborns, two thousand adult and juvenile deaths and also includes elderly people. It is not on and the NHS and the American equivalent should be held to book on this one. I found the story of the woman bleeding to death on a table absolutely sickening. I love my horrors but that is way beyond the boundaries.
there is a new micheal moore film coming out called sicko , and Ive had a lot of recent experience with the nhs and its nothing like the american system and Id say much much better . I knew when I was paralysed a few years ago (Im better now ) that I didnt have to worry about health insurance and I would have lifetime treatment , in the usa you can never be sure that your insurance will actually pay up when you need it thats what sicko looks at , good people who pay their insurance and get screwed
