The South-west thread! Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Dorset!

Hello... this is a thread entirely dedicated to the south-west. Why? Because I'm fed up of people not knowing where it is, what's on it and that the ooo arrr accent comes from fucking Bristol.

So, this thread is totally dediated to everything Devon, Cornwall, Somerset or Dorset. Isles of Scilly, of course, you can join in too!

 

We used to take our family holidays in Swanage. I have really happy memories of those days.

 

Anyone at the Launcston 3-day freeparty last year? Twas wicked!

our kid went to st michaels mount last year said it was great .gotta try and get down their someday

 

tell him to go to the real one in normandy next time - mont san michael its much better - the one in cornwall is a hill with a building on it - the one in france is one of the european wonders of the world the one in cornwall is named after it

BTW how can people not know where the southj west is - ??

I love the south.. you guys have much better weather, up north a collective "aagh! natural light!" goes up when the sun comes out. We're so used to rain we've all developed webbed feet.. no wait that's just the inbreeding around Manchester.

 

The more I hear about the North the more I'd love to live there. (sorry know this thread is about the south-west) I'd rather live in rain and what y'all consider "lots" of snow come wintertime than live in the South-east where the idea of a good storm is 15 minutes of rain or a light dusting of snow in the winter.


and wow am I stupid. I never realized Penzance was a real place just thought it was mythological place the Pirates came from.

I DO however know where the south west is ... it's west of me.

 

Been around South wales, places like Abberporth, cardigan and Cardiff. I also been around devon, Cornwall and somerset.
