okay, my old pc has 2 harddrives, a c (10g) and d (40gig). so the 40gig one is full of files and music and shit i want on my new pc, but the computer is so fucked up it craches whenever i try to open up a program. so im thinking what if i took the hdd out of the old pc and ut it in the new one, would that works. im wondering since i have 2 250g sata goiung on RAID0 and would it work still with another one? and i mean i have some programs installed on it too, would they work on this pc, cuz some of them i allready have on the c drive of new pc :/

you can install the old drive on the new computer and access the data files
but you can't run the old programs ; they need to be reinstalled in the new computer
the old computer what OS has??
it is the same OS as the new computer?

judging from the fact the C drive is 10G, im assuming that it is the drive the OS is installed on.

The D being 40, yeah you can do that. Take it out, look around for the pins on the outter edge, you need to set the drive to SLAVE and then shove it in your new PC.

by the way, be careful when you put the drive in as slave. windows has a tendinency of being retarded and saying the drive isnt formatted and asks you if you want to,.

    obviously say no.
