    Age of apathy

    Detatched from my surroundings
Like a piece of paper glued to another
    There, yet carved out

    Succumbed by glooming thoughts
    A black hole speaks
    Through an eerie voice
Its distant yet closing cries consume my spirit

    Fading away to the underworld
The only thing to be seen
Through the daze and dark clouds of thunder
    Our love drifting away
Only descried on the horizon of the ocean

    A heart once vibrant
    Washed away by salty tears

    Will I ever feel
The warm feelings that engulfed me
When you were by my side

    Will I ever feel again
    The love you gave me
    Your arms, my sanctuary

Apathy is, to me, quite essential to walk out the door with open eyes.
