    RUDE BOYS!!!!!

Remember there is a skin movement that isn't far from the mods, reggae 'Trogan label', northern soul and was/is about a style and fashion not unlike the mods without the fascist politics, although these type of Skins do exist.

I nearlly walked into a pub in Acton some years ago (mid 90's) when a friend and I submitted work into the Royal Academy summer exhibition with our long hair and comfortable shoes, luckily for us a gang of these skins walked out as we were approaching. We nearly lost our lives. The headline flashed through my head,

'Two northern hippy monkeys kicked to death by elite fascist Skinheads in London!

The original skinheads were in fact white youth following the hairstyle of the black youth.

I may have a conditioned view, but in my experience at least 90% of skineads aren't right wing. Probably about a third of the anti-fascist action crew i see around are skinheads, and a hell of a lot of punks and ska revival guys (Trojan) are too. And they're all (while sometimes being slightly violent) nice guys.

I'm getting the sides shaved off next week at my mates, This is England stylee. Opinions - short mohawk, or bigger one split into spikes? Before I get reprimanded, i was going to grow it long, but i can't be bothered, it just gets in my face for a month or so. And it's got to be short before it gets long.
Don't know about colour, might leave it my beautiful natural brown for a while and see. But I'm open to good suggestions/inspirational pictures of hair.

didnt it go out of fashion when the only people having it done were big fat butch lesbians? most blokes just didnt want people to wonder whether they were a heterosexual bloke or a butch woman

Have you seen 'Made In Britain' yet?

Have it all shaved apart from the top and get a sharp fringe and let the sides hang quite long, cool look on a girl, lady, wyman (like it).

Tight denim jacket (Levi of course), white shirt, could be Ben Sherman but not obligatory, tight jeans (Levi's, Wrangler, not important), indigo blue, with turn ups with either cherry red docs or monkey boots.

    Sorry I meant to say,

    'This is England'

Made in Britain was another skin thugh film about teenage neglect and care homes starring a young Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs).

Do you know Ronnie I was giving you the benefit of the doubt about you question, I thought it was sincere. You can suggest that I'm gay as much as you like, the problem is whether to give you another moment.

Samhain where are you. This little confused kid needs some choice words, you were quick enough to lay into me for my comments; or is he not worth bothering with?

Yeah, they're both brilliant films. As for your suggestions for the get-up, the cinema staff let me and my mates get student tickets forThis is England although we don't have cards. I think it's cos we were standing in front of the poster for the film, and half my mates looked like they were actors in the film. 5 or 6 pairs of Cherry Red DMs out of 10 of us.

You know the kid in the film was just some random kid they found up north who wasn't going to school, and they put him in a film.
