I just smoked my last cigarette.
I woke up this morning and decided it was time.
I know it will be hard and suck, but this time around I really do want to quit.
I just spent my money for smokes on an Adbusters magazine, so no money, no smokes.
Wish me luck, god knows I'm going to need it!

Congratulations, I just passed 5 months on June 1.

You might need a place to rant over the coming weeks so use this as a place to vent.

No more smelling like an ashtray, you'll soon start to taste your food again, breathing will get easier, no more forever saitiating an addiction, you have freed yourself, no more hiding.

Turn reality to a new position and continue along your journey.
I'll wish you well but not luck. :)

Giving up smoking is a right drama. The hardest times are when you are in the pub with your fellow droogs and they all smoke giant Superkings in front of your face. The smoke actually smells nicer when someone is smoking. Meal times and first thing in the morning are the hardest times to resist the Devils twig. Also if you are under emotional stress, are bored and stressed, it is tempting to light one up.

You will save millions every decade and each year, several thousands.

One more thing, nowadays smoking is very unpopular. It is not cool anymore so if you smoke one, you are affectively demode:)

If you get an urge, chop a few onions and boil them. Then drink the juice. It helps.

I had a couple drags off my friends today, and it made me light headed and sick. I have a massive headache, but think I'm going to pass on that boiled onion juice tho. ;)

It worked okey for me Mum. Try white onion as opposed to the red onion. Or eat more fruit and veg. Juice it if possible. Detoxing of the body, gets rid of the toxins from the ciggerette.

I had two puffs on (ordinary) cigarettes at Sunrise (been about a year), coughed like a fool, it tasted horrible, I was never a serious smoker but hopefully I won't get back into that again. Existing without chemical props is actually quite nice! Keep it up Jay:)

Fresh kiwi smoothie each morning should successfully assist in your detoxification.
What Doctors have not realised. The way to cure tobacco addiction is by detoxification. Once the body is detoxed (This isn't instant. It takes a while). The body will automatically reject any smoke going in. In other words you will feel so bad , sick and dizzy that you simply wont want to smoke again. It is like weight loss. By stapling the stomach, you encourage the body to take in less and if you try and stuff your plate ,you won't be able to finish the meal as the same symptons of sickness and dizzyness will occur. By detox, you train your body to illiminate the urge of smoking and of course you are cleaning out your body.

I strongly reccomend boiled onion juice Mum.

Good luck with it - my quitting experience was not good. For a few days I actually felt worse than I do after i've done heroin (OK so maybe the combination wasn't a good idea). but I'm sure you didn't smoke as much as me (20-30 a day, 40 when I got stressed) so you'll be fine!

 Ha, call yourself a smoker.......................
I have smoked for longer than I care to admit & for many years was a chain smoker getting through 80 (YES EIGHTY) a day. I changed to rollies & managed to cut that down to about 30-40 a day, (more when stressed).
Really don't ever want another one.
Would love to live to see my son grow up.:)

Hey, I was a pipe smoker too! had 4-5 pipefuls of tobacco a day as well as my cigs. Luckily, you need less pipe tobacco cause it's not filtered.

No filters in rollies either. Also did pipe for a while but too much spit. I do miss cigars and french tobacco.:$
Good job I can't get any this time of night.
20 DAYS, 14 HOURS and still no-one dead........:)

I'm starting to believe I'm coming to the edge of the woods myself, nearly 6 months. :)
