Something has gone horribly wrong along the way?

I didn't know where to put this, it's just a bit of a ramble so I guess I'll just stick it here. I don't know when exactly it happened but I guess everything has a begginning (or nothing has a beggining depending on what way you want to look at it) but somewhere at some time everyone one seems to have just decided they'd rather be looked after than be free, like a wild animal thats been tamed and broken. I mean I read history, I have an interest in civics and psychology but no matter how hard I try I can't pin down the general time in history it happened or imagine how it came about and I can't for the life of me understand why it perseveres.

I mean if you think about it objectively its ridiculas.At some time in some place the gouvernment (all gouvernments and systems of leadership) basically said "Ok listen up assholes, we know that we are only running things because you put us here, we know that your family or ancestors have been living here since long before the place even existed as its own entity and that they were the foundations this states built on, we except that without you and people like you this thing wouldn't be here, but we don't give a flying fuck! Shut up and listen, we'll allow you to remain here in this place your ancestors have lived forever, and we'll provide you with infinite freedom as long as you do exactly what we say when we say. You can earn some money if you want aslong as you pay over the proper percentage of protection every year, you can do whatever you want aslong as we let you. We will reserve the right to change the terms and conditions at anytime. If you don't play ball we'll put you in a little cage that you will of course have paid for, when your not in a cage don't get too confortable we might need you to go murder some fuckers you've never met in some place you couldn't give a shit about, don't worry we'll show you how and we'll pay you for doing it (and take our cut), those cages won't pay for themselves while your off risking your life to defend our right to lock you in them. So what do ya's say?"

it amazes me when I encounter people from across the world to achieve the same, exactly the same conclusions or enlightenments, satoris I have come upon all by myself. in fact, I have used the exact same words when I got it; "something has gone terribly wrong along the way". only, in turkish.

it can not be coincidence.

yes, really we, humankind must have turned a very wrong direction in a past crossroad. and after that, we just continued taking wronger and wronger paths. things could have been miraculous by now if we did not. imagine what kind of a world we would have if only the past -nearly forgotten- wisdom of our tribal ancestors were merged in time with the technological wonders we have created along the way.

yet, we have built a golden cage around ourselves when we invented possession. we have turned our backs at our wise ancestors. they really were a hundred times more wise than we now are. as technological development and possessionism took deeper roots and gained all the reigns, we forgot social development -it didn't only stagnated but degraded, leaving us as little more than semi-sentient robots scurrying around a polluted planet with our corrupted souls.

yet, I see hope in the future dears. things flow in an ascending spiral way and as more bodies get this enlightenment of their very souls;
all of us build the required threshold energy to step up the spiral to right our wrongs, as the flow demands.

Anarchy -> Religion -> Government -> Loss of religion -> Loss of Government -> Anarchy

In my opinion this is the timeline of mankind right now we are on the third step moving onto the fourth. When I say religion I mean mass religion, not just the exsistence of God, mass religion is where the control stems from. As we increase in knowledge, science will disprove the three main religions, as it already has time and time again. Then we have no more reason to be controled, thus Anarchy. It's a circle really.

Just my opinion, what do you guys think?

 

Yeah, I hate that 'subject to change without notice' thing going on in life. Anarchy is what is needed with a bit of atheism in it. May no man, woman or God rule over us!

 

has it occured to anyone that maybe this isn't wasn't a gradual shift over time, and maybe almost all of mankind feel inclined to be part of a herd? to me, it seems like a typically human impulse to collectively construct an abstract form of conditioning under which to live, and then reinforce with any number of dogmatic concepts. most people never realize how stupid and arbitrary any of it is. in my mind, that's pretty much what most of society amounts to.

 

interesting point i had never concidered that patriotism & nationalism could be just the herding instinct found in many species

the irony for me is that a lot of the time, the people so quick to defend tradition and wish to maintain the status quo (a limitless hierarchy) are the ones with the most lofty and grandiose opinions on humanity, and our inherent superiority to the rest of living creatures.

the more they protest any simularity to anything in the animal kingdom the more they support anamalistic behavior


(interesting side note though, i met a mathamatician who refused to have sex, his reasons were, animals were capable of sex, but not math, therefore humans who can do math should never have sex just to be superiur)

LOL! then he didnt do his math properly or he wil ahve deduced that if all humans were to do so, then all mathematicians will be extinguished within one generation.
Another thing, soem humans cant do math, can they do sex? and some human can build houses and other are better at making coffee or just relax, whos superior there?
and some animals are better at flying or doing some stuff than humans are, are they to drop sex because human do so but they are superior to humans since they can fly without extra equipement and humans cant?

Leave or take: orms are better at digging deep without oxygene than humans are. Ditto they are superior to humans. Humans fuck, so orms shouldnt, but they dont do so already, so whats left? orms doing math?

I htink the guy didnt get laid enough when in college and it interfered and affected heavily his conseption of math. He ended mixing it up wiht sex as he was forced to chose between doing his math and being the first in his class, or dating girls and getting some on his baguette.
As for herd mentality, woolves does, so why not the army?
We can scream all we like its going to take a major turn of mentality before getting there where we will all like it.
Unless we divide the world in 2: those who like and want to be fucked and those who dont.
Its already doen, isnt it? I mean, we already got this forum, thats a start.

More interested in where I am going ... seems most people are in the past or in the future yet take little time to be in the present. The present is where you are - you have learned from your own history, taken the pluses from Zen, church, friends, others experience and so on to live in the present to have a future to look forward to.
Who is your future? You are, not Social Security, nothing else - what you have in all ways and where you want to be in say ten years or retirement (Barcelona).

Enjoy the present and live for your future - look forward to the trip you have set, your next sail, your time alone tonight, time with friends and family but take a look around and enjoy the moment.
