If you are a metal fan listen to Disturbed. I don't give half a shit what you normies say about them they ROCK!!!! I also don't give half a shit about people who say they're posers because they're not and you can't change that with your useless words. So shut the hell up and listen to them!!!! Personally I recommend the Sickness CD if you're a new listener. It's their first and it kicks ass.

Yes! It was the song Down with the Sickness. And I really don't like their sound and their vocals. When it comes to metal, what I'm looking for is a specific atmosphere, and nu-metal (and lots of other metal) just doesn't have that.

Yeah, I'm always yapping on about atmosphere, but obviously all music in the world has a certain atmosphere. The kind of atmosphere I'm looking for in metal is rather haunting and ETHEREAL (that's the word!)
A lot of black and doom metal has that misanthropic/depressive thing going on, but at the same time can sound almost romantic. And most metal is too much focused on aggression only for my taste. That's why I hardly listen to any thrash, death etc. metal. It's just anger, and not the misanthropic romanticism that I hear in a good doom or black metal riff and the accompanying instrumentation. I hope I've made myself more clear this way.

I've been wondering lately if I may have some form of Tourette's. It's only when I'm alone though. I can get into an irrationally furious tantrum about almost nothing, which often results in screaming obscenities of the worst kind*, excessive property damage and breaking down into tears. I wonder if the neighbours have ever noticed me throwing stuff around the room.

Ah well, at least I'm not bottling it all up hm?

*) And believe me when I say Dutch has the worst obscenities of any language.

But generally I think ascribing it to Tourette's or any other psychological condition is a bit exaggerated. It doesn't happen very often at all, so...
