Come on Rubin, admit it, Hamas is a terrorist organisation, but its true they do provide some social services when they aren't busy murdering civilians.

I doubt it. Fanatic organisations can be less corrupt and more efficient than secular ones. It doesn't make them better. A lot of communist movements were popular because they were less corrupt and brought more order than the venal, corrupt regimes they opposed. Of course they also brought tyranny and economic ruin, but people realised that later. It will probably be the same with Hamas. I don't think that many Gazans want eteranal war with Israel and an Islamic state, but on the other hand they were exasperated with Fatah.

I suppose they also get $ from Iran and Syria which Fatah doesn't, which helps.

 

Anyhow, on topic... rockets have kept on falling on Israel today.

Expect an escalation.

 

just imagine if people could be nice to each other for once. you'd think people would tire of all this shit for once. thank god all this violence has been sanctioned by god himself.

according to israeli history barely anyone was living in the holy land when they rocked up just over a century ago after a sabbatical of nearly a thousand years. no one likes their land and property being stolen and being cooped up in ghettoes. of all people, i would have thought the jewish people would understand this after all the things that have happened to them.

Israel dismantled its settlements and withdrew from Gaza to internationally recognised borders. Calling this a Nazi plot to create a genocide is really vile example of anti semetism. What more could they have done? Is it Israel's fault that Palestinians elected violent, extremist religious fundamentalists? Isnt Hamas responsible if they use their control of Gaza to launch daily rocket attacks on Israeli civilians? Is asking Hamas to recognise Israel's right to exist really such an unreasonable demand?
