Mandred loves to eat! He will eat anything and everything... from couscous and wild rice to brussel sprouts and cauliflower. Tonight he was eatting beets and made a big mess. He looks like an extra from a horror movie![IMG]

Yeah, he is really big! At almost 10 months he weights in at 24 pounds! I think its all the boob milk and crazy babyfood (like beets?!) that he eats. Plus, my husband and I both come from tall people... so it might be genetic. I think he is pretty cute too, but I did give birth to the little pumpkin head, so I might be bias.

I think he looks more like a zombie, now that i think about it.

He is so adorable. And he must be huge! Moire's only now about 26 lbs. Holy goodness! How do you carry that boy?

Actually, I've had some problems carrying him! I've developed carpal tunal in my wrist, and try to avoid carrying him for long periods of time if I am not wearing my wrap... I just don't have the arm strength to hold him for more than 10 minutes at a time! He can stand on his own, and has taken a few steps without knowing what he is doing (i think if he knew what he was doing he would be scared and just crawl!)... so I hope he will be walking soon just to spare me the pain of carrying him all the time!

You should get a mei-tai for long-term carrying. Our mei-tai is SOOOOOO amazing. I'm glad to have it. :)

how heavy can those carriers go up to? Lea Lea is over 35 pounds already, and although she walks, she still likes to be carried. It's impossibly hard, especially with being pregnant again. Looks goofy when I carry her...I'm 5'2 and she's already up to my hips, lol
But yeah, icedtea, you really should look into getting a carrier...the one i had (one of the more "industrial" ones from the store) went up to 26 lbs, and I used it constantly. That thing was a life saver and really spared my arms!

I'm buying a proper sling this time around, too. Those baby carriers are a life saver! lol

Definitely get an honest to goodness unpadded ring sling. So adjustable, so airy, so convenient. I had a nojo when M was little and it SUCKED. But our mayawrap is so amazing. I sling every baby I come into contact with, and it's awesome for them all! :D

Am going to look for a pattern on line for a mei tie. I would buy one, but I am really rather cheap. I know it would be a good investment.... maybe I will buy myself on for my birthday.. hahaha.

Also, look on etsy and hyenacart. Seriously, the amount of fabric + the amount of topstitching required, it might just be in your best interest to buy one if you can find one of the 35 dollar ones. I found mine, beautiful embroidery and all, as a second (some of the topstitching wasn't right, but it's black on black so you can't tell) for 35 dollars on hyenacart!
