Do you like ABBA?

I used to never like ABBA until like this year when i actually got to perform thier music in choral class...some of the stuff is crazy with cresendos and diminuendos and the keys changes and ques were quite fast. I've learned to appreciate them more.

Unbelievable vocal and musical talent, they were absolutely brilliant!

They remind me more of 70s than 80s. As far as pop music goes, Dancing Queen was their definitive song. They were talented with vocal harmonies. Starland Vocal Band had a similar vocal arrangement as Abba but more mellow and not as bright a vocal sound.

I love ABBA though they are more 70s than 80s really as Shaggie has said. They have a very distinctive sound that remains their own regardless of the passage of time. And I can remmeber growing up thinking Agnetha was the sexiest thing alive .

 

its probably annoying but now that you come to mention it - if thats u - u do (although more elegeant I'd say).What a compliment though!

I entertained a whole bunch of nurses in a rest home once singing abba tunes on the piano.I knew it would be cheesy and it was - but what fun!

 

I'm a big fan of ABBA as well.

 

How can anyone not like ABBA?

I love ABBA. Well, as much as is appropriate.
They are among the bands that made shallow, discardable capitalist pop music fashionable again, after all...

 

I am a classic rocker, and many of us grew up saying disco sucks. Well, it does, but ABBA is something different. I love ABBA. Those girls could hit notes that no others could. And they have some really trippy tunes if you get deep into their catalogue. A great band that gave us some great music.

Haha! When I was 12/13 there was a programme on called "Abbamania" where all of today's bands would sing Abba's songs. So I really digged them. Problem was I'd listen to them too much and now whenever I hear an abba song it kinda annoys me.

But nobody can deny they made some great pop tunes!

 

I'll be honest I like the music vids, the chicks are hot...the blonde one more than the brunette.

But yeah some of the songs are really catch and they stick with you.

 

Yeah, the Abba was really good band. The girls had very nice voices, capable of reaching high notes. I`ve heard, that in time when they were playing, they were earning more money, than the whole Swedish car industry (Volvo, Saab)...

 

Yes, I love ABBA.

which I have downloaded and now have them in my laptop and in my mp3 player.
There's something melodious about their songs, they sound great and I also like their voices.
ABBA is just timeless.
