Since independence day is pretty much the pyro 4/20, I thought a thread devoted to what you guys are doing on 7/4. I have no idea what I am doing, but I will probably get an 1/8th for myself and have a decent amount of fireworks and chill with my bud. (Ill let them get their own weed) I have decided to smoke once a month or once every 2 months or on special occasion) So what are you guys doing on July 4th??? (Yes, I am a pyro)
pffft nothing! theres no smoking for me and no fireworks, cuz of such a small town and the air base. summer sucksss.
Damn... Now that I think about it I MIGHT smoke for the last time, before or right after 7/4... Not on 7/4 cuz every year my whole family gets together on that day and we all sit back and watch fireworks at a cabin on a lake that my grandparents built. It's awsome. Problem is, all of my family(Except my uncle who won't be there this year) is 100% against ANY and ALL drugs!! My other uncle is a police officer and deals with kids and such who do drugs so it sucks... I can't smoke while there cuz my cousins like to follow me everywhere and hang out with me. >.> I would say let's smoke up, I got some great bud, but they would run and tell their parents and my parents
I'll be in florida on da beach moooonn . I'm goin w/ my family, but i'm some how gonna smoke big tree without them knowing haha...will be great
have a huge cookout with all of my family like we do every year, and probably get drunk with all of them good times
what more appropriate a means of celebrating this country's heritage than with setting off a bunch of bombs? i hope i'll be able to smoke. otherwise i'll just have some beers and stay in. maybe read. maybe watch a movie. i couldnt care less about the day the declaration of independence was signed. this is an illegitimate government operating on a number of disturbingly hypocritical ideals.
when i think of independence day i don't think of anything dealing with the signing of the declaration of independence. lol all i think about is eating food, drinking beers, hanging w/ the family, and setting off fireworks i think thats how it goes for most of yins on here too lol
yeah, because americans as a whole (regardless of what subgroups they may claim to be a part of) are generally content with the status quo and business as usual. its just like christmas - unless they have religious reasons for NOT celebrating christmas, most every american i know celebrates this christian holiday, and even the christians celebrate it in just as perverse a way as anyone else. whether or not people want to think about it, independence day means something more than pretty fireworks and big noises and cookouts and beer. this country cost the blood of millions of innocents and a fraction of as many wicked people. the country was formed in a legitimate manner but for illegitimate reasons, and had the country stayed within its original boundries it wouldnt be AS bad, but between slavery, manifest destiny, the monroe doctrine, the war on drugs, the failing educational system, its countless crimes against humanity every bit as wicked as the crimes of the holocaust, and so many more reasons, this is an illegitimate country with no respectable status in the world and celebrating it's heritage of slaughter and sorrow is something i'm dead against. perhaps if people care to turn this country around and make something good of it (rather than just something profitable) then i will respect it enough to celebrate its roots. until then, fuck the USA and fuck the lights and noises in the sky. like i said, there is no more fitting a way to celebrate this country's heritage than with bombs.
the 4th for me..& rainbow folkjs in general is not independence day but interdependence day its not a day to celebrate our seperation from the world but our connection to it so on the 4th i wake in sillence & proceed to main circle where others have gathered since dawn we in silence meditate contemplate & pray for peace & the healling of the nations we celebrate the interconnection of all people in all nations we share unconditional love we heal we share we care..in short i'll be spending the 4th like i try to spend every 4th in the most beautiful place with the most beautiful people in the most beautiful way i can.. for us the 4th isnt about explosions & noise..its about sillence about contemplation& rejoicing.. then at noon, we celebrate our future as a family & nation with the kid villiage parade & a very long om.. the universal love vibration that permeates the universe.. & finaly with an explosion of love the celebrating begins, no more sillence & the drums go wild ..dancing & hugginmg & loving.. sharing food sharing hopes & dreams for a better world a better tomorow & a future without independence but true unity & interdependence if u have no idea what im talking about watch the vids on my myspace www.myspace.com/iriesoaringeagle & read the howdy folks thread in the rainbow family forum. hope to see ya all there.... celebrate peace not war
heh. Nice point.... But as I am in the UK I couldnt care less about independence day. just another day in my [3 month long] summer . Meh, if i can get any fireworks ill let them off for fun, but i doubt that. so in answer to the question, no. p.s Though you americans will take any excuse to blow something up... p.p.s don't make it out army this time
dont lump me in with fools who believe an invisible line on a map defines who we are as a people or how we all behave based on where we were we live
well, we'll probably have a cookout, have friends and family over, beers, pot, all the good fun. probably some shrooms, yum!
I'LL WAIT 10 MORE DAYS, AND CELEBRATE THE FRENCH REVOLUTION! That one kick ass! THE 4TH OF JULY... HMM, isn't it THE GREATE KISSING DAY? I think this 4th of july I will celebrate Love and reconciliation, and then 10 days later I will make a revolution, Øh, I mean, celebrate one. The best thing to do in such a day is to make love passionetly, and to love one another with all your heart. Anything else will be dull.
When i think of Independence Day i think of that huge mother fucker of a spaceship hovering above that skyscraper and then blowing it to shit. And Will Smith being a bad man, though that occupies my mind most of the time. I still havent forgiven any of you americans for the Boston Tea Party, fucking sicko's.
