You have got to be kidding me! I have never seen logic used in such an elementery and flat out stupid manner before. Stop making yourself look bad.

Just give some hard evidence for once. Is it really that hard to give us some positive numbers for the Bush administration?

I guess the bigger tax refund was good but I think thats the only thing I can think of. That definately does not make up for the loss of jobs, deficit, national debt, and a bunch of other stuff. And I'm also going to consider the fact that my paycheck was much higher under Clinton.

    so?

You clearly demonstrated my point. Bush could have gold-plated your home and you still wouldn't support him. Face it, you don't like him because he's a Republican. If he were a Democrat you would have named a dozen things.

This just in: Economic downturn started during Clintons adminstration, Real GDP is really growing, unemployment hits 5.5%!

You can't blame Bush for everything that has gone wrong. In the 90's analysts were predicting another depression! No they weren't being cynical; they were being realistic. The economy fluctuates in cycles, like all things, this was predicted.

I myself vote for whoever I think is best fit to run our country. Regardless of party. I don't criticize a certain party unless there's reason. It's just this time around I don't like what the repub. are doing.

Your point? you have no point. youre not smart enough to ever make a good point. get over it. Even if you were a liberal I still wouldn't respect you because all your arguments are void of logic.

I am neither republican or democrat. I dont support George W. Bush just because he is a shitty president. I support many republicans such as McCain and others. Republicans and democrats alike should realize that Bush is the worst president we have ever had.

It is common knowledge that the downturn started right around the 2000 election and really accelerated under Bush's first two years as president. If he were a good president he would have done something to slow it down instead of spending all his time in Crawford, Texas. Its still headed in the wrong direction by the way. Talk about the deficit a little bit Hippy Hunter. Is Clinton to blame for that too?

I'd like to know which analysts were predicting a depression in the 90's. Where did you get the information? So are you saying we're going through a depression right now? Or we're gonna go through a depression? Where do you come up with this stuff?

I guess your intent was to come on the forums and "hunt down some hippies" and refute their claims and all that. Youre not very good at it. Oh yeah and what about my first post to you? I know you saw it. Any comments?

OH NO!! HOW WILL I EVER RESPOND TO THIS?

Its such a powerful post, what could I ever say in response?

1.) Yes, "a little better off." Like we're upside-down and backwards!
2.) "Reason enough": Oh the almighty Jezebel opened his mouth and dictated how we should vote, all praise be Jezebel the wise!!
3.) Sure the country will be a lot better off after 4 years of Kerry. After 4 years of fighting with the Republican House's and having policy turned down; what country wouldn't be better off?
4.) "I could be wrong though."- YUP
5.) You sir, should not be allowed to speak. Everytime you open your hole the entire world gets a little more idiotic. You started the personal attacks, now, you can enjoy them; dumbass.

I trully feel sorry for you if you are this dense. Go home, get some maturity, then come back.

Great, I don't care what you think! For not being a Democrat you sure parrot what thier media says! Way to support a centerist Republican; YEAH you're not biased. Jackass!

Yes is is common knowledge that clinton scuttled the boat on the way out! Thank You! If you can read, which I doubt, then you would have read in my post where I talked about the "cycle of the economy". The one they teach you about in Intro to MacroEconomics. You obvioulsy don't believe in Economics, its "void of logic". OH NO!! THE PRESIDENT WENT TO TEXAS!!!!! We all know he was still working on that ranch. What would you have him do? Tax cuts? Stimulous package? Bail-outs? Increase government spending? all the things Gore would have done, which he also did. What exactly do you propose he should have done (don't say "spend less time in Texas", that doesn't prove anything).

OH NO! Not the deficit!!! What ever are we going to do? I for one am packing and heading for the hills, I'll see you there hippys!

NEWS FLASH: President is not the only person in governemt!! As it turns out there is a massive bureacracy, 2 whole Houses of Representative, and a legal system. This one man is not in control of everything. Did you write you Congressman/woman?

Me read newspaper, it good. Do a google search, you'll find lots of goodies. You'll find way more in 2000, but the ones in the late 90's are out there.

I'm saying that we are in the downturn right now! You disagree?

No, my intention was to come here and laugh at hippies making themselves sound stupid. I have definately achieved that goal. Thank You.

Once again you got all heated and called me all sorts of names, in a very dense manner just because I'm a liberal. Ofcourse you didnt give me any numbers/statistics or concrete evidence supporting the Bush Administration. Instead in a very dense manner you blamed Clinton for the weak economy and the largest deficit we have ever had. Are you not a parrot of what Fox news says? Depression and downturn are two different things. You said we were in a depression- because of Clinton.

You only think you have made the liberals here look bad. But you wont be able to achieve that until you learn that you have to use concrete evidence and solid numbers along with links to your sources. Rhetoric is just not good enough here.

There are many conservatives here that debate in the proper manner (good statistics and reliable sources) and get the respect they deserve. You definately are not one of them. And you wonder why no one respects you here.

I vote that we let this one die. We're just fighting some 15 year old kid on his computer trying to act cool and tough.

He just makes stupid remarks about anything we say. Leave him be. He can rot here and continue to push his point about how cool bush is. Maybe next he can start talking about how Nazi rule really was a good idea. Maybe also get into how Communism was the greatest thing ever.

Yeah, you obviously did your reading.

First: The Patriot Act included a lot of stuff from Clintons 1995 Omnibus.
Second: The Patriot Act doesn't infringe on any of your constitutional right.
Third: You have NEVER read the Patriot Act
Fourth: The Patriot Act did impliment much need policy; such as a Counter Terrorsim fund, a Terrorism Victims Fund, re-established civil liberties for Arab Americans, ect...

If you would like to shed your ignorance you may go here to read the actuall Patriot Act: http://www.epic.org/privacy/terrorism/hr3162.html

MOST OF ALL DON'T FORGET: DEMOCRATS HAD TO APPROVE THAT BILL!!

Did YOU even read the bill? I'm sure you did. All 342 pages of it.
Section 215 modifies the rules on searching records. Post-Patriot Act, third-party holders of your financial, library, travel, video rental, phone, medical, church, synagogue, and mosque records can be searched without your knowledge or consent, as long as the government says it's trying to protect against terrorism. Same with any median of communication: oral, electronic, wire.

We have states, communities, cities passing resolutions that denounce the Patriot Act as an assault on civil liberties.

    Operation CHAOS anyone?

Anyways, this isn't even a pro-democractic thread. Just people that hate bush.

Yes, I'm an ignorant hippy that doens't read...jackass.

Did you read Section 215 before you posted that?

`SEC. 501. ACCESS TO CERTAIN BUSINESS RECORDS FOR FOREIGN INTELLIGENCE AND INTERNATIONAL TERRORISM INVESTIGATIONS.

`(a)(1) The Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation or a designee of the Director (whose rank shall be no lower than Assistant Special Agent in Charge) may make an application for an order requiring the production of any tangible things (including books, records, papers, documents, and other items) for an investigation to protect against international terrorism or clandestine intelligence activities, provided that such investigation of a United States person is not conducted solely upon the basis of activities protected by the first amendment to the Constitution.

`(2) An investigation conducted under this section shall--
`(A) be conducted under guidelines approved by the Attorney General under Executive Order 12333 (or a successor order); and
`(B) not be conducted of a United States person solely upon the basis of activities protected by the first amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

`(b) Each application under this section--
    `(1) shall be made to--
`(A) a judge of the court established by section 103(a); or
`(B) a United States Magistrate Judge under chapter 43 of title 28, United States Code, who is publicly designated by the Chief Justice of the United States to have the power to hear applications and grant orders for the production of tangible things under this section on behalf of a judge of that court; and
`(2) shall specify that the records concerned are sought for an authorized investigation conducted in accordance with subsection (a)(2) to protect against international terrorism or clandestine intelligence activities.

`(c)(1) Upon an application made pursuant to this section, the judge shall enter an ex parte order as requested, or as modified, approving the release of records if the judge finds that the application meets the requirements of this section.

`(2) An order under this subsection shall not disclose that it is issued for purposes of an investigation described in subsection (a).

`(d) No person shall disclose to any other person (other than those persons necessary to produce the tangible things under this section) that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has sought or obtained tangible things under this section. `(e) A person who, in good faith, produces tangible things under an order pursuant to this section shall not be liable to any other person for such production. Such production shall not be deemed to constitute a waiver of any privilege in any other proceeding or context.

Maybe you noticed the word "business" in the title, or maybe the long list of people who must approve for this investigation to begin.

First: fuck clinton, i wasn't talking about him.
    Second: yes, yes, it does.
Third: it is extremely hard to read what the P.A. is actually saying, which was its maker's intention. i have (tried) to read it in the past, thankyou. (asshole.) you can't just TELL me what i have and haven't read.
Fourth: we were fine withou all of that "much needed policy" before. They just throw in the word "terrorism" to scare us into letting them find out and use whatever the fuck they want to.
my ignorance was shed years ago, my friend. and yours?

    First: Great, I was
Second: "yes, yes, it does" is not an answer. I've read it, and I believe that it doesn't. Cite something!
Third:It is no harder to read than any other legal document. There is no obvious intention to make it difficult to read. You couldn't prove that if you had to. I can tell you; if you had read it you would understand that it doesn't infringe on one part of the Constitution.
Fourth:WE WERE FINE?!?!?! How many times have we been attacked since 1993? How many terrorists slipped through the cracks before 9/11? How many people died on 9/11? HOW IN THE HELL WERE WE FINE?!?!?! Everyday I hear about terrorists killing people all over the globe; the reasons vary with every group. So it seems that everyone but you is worried about terrorists, and that makes you ignorant my friend!

My ignorance ceased to exist the day I thought for myself.
