uwm.edu Anyone noticed that there are differences among races and cultures as far as what body type is considered attractive on women? It seems like many whites put more emphasis on women having to be thin in order to be attractive, but black-Americans and Latinos for example seem to prefer curvy or "thick" women as more attractive. I rarely see black guys going for skinny girls. It was always the girls with "body" that attracted them most. I do know of white guys who have said they like bigger women but it still seems that thinness is what many white men look for with women. So what have you noticed with this?
i think that you have a really good point. i mean, to each their own but you seem to be right in your statements. but their IS always exceptions.
Men in western societys love exotic men, women in exotic societys like western men. Women in Japan love blond white males. Women in west love dark and tall men. my 2 cents...
I have a hunch that black and latino men have a "thing" for "thicker" women because latina women and women of african descent tend on average to be very curvy...I guess on average lol who knows. But maybe because this is how their women are as ethnic groups so it's what they're used to and it's what turns them on. Nothing wrong with that. I guess it's just a cultural thing.
I think alot more men out there really prefer curvy women more than thin, skinny women. Thicker, curvy or vuluptuous women(not obese) look like real women to me. I think the reason thinness is bigger with many whites is because of the media. Most of the media, epsecially the entertainment media in America reflects what's popular in white America. Most of the women who seem to get most of the attention as being attractive as far as celebrities and others are largelly thin white women. This influences what many whites consider attractive. This could expalin why anorexia is a bigger problem for white girls because they may feel the need to try to get with this thin beauty standard. This wasn't always the case with whites. I heard that a model named Twiggy who becamed popular in the 60's made being thin in. Before this time more curvy white women like Mae West,Janes Mansfield and Marlyn Monroe were more of the beauty standard.
I don't like skinny women, slim to average but TOO slim. I don't like the sort girls where you look at her and think "I'd split her in half..."
im black, and my gurl is white, and skinny as fuck... thick, average, slim, shit dont really matter, as long as you look good w/ it.
