Does any of you do any kind of barefoot parkour or free running or even better yet, know what it is?
I was wondering if anyone here had any advise on barefoot parkour.

To get a basic sense in 2 minutes on what free running is this sensationalist youtube video gives a good idea, featuring the purported inventor or discoverer of free running.

wikipedia also gives a basic idea

I've tried it a bit. I like it.
Many feel working their skills barefoot helps stability and landings. Barefoot runners have great foot strength which is necessary for parkour. Visit the barefoot runner sites to learn more.

I would think you would need to have pretty tough soles to even attempt some of those moves in bare feet. Gravity+acceleration would make landings pretty harsh on one's soles, it seems to me.

HOLY SHIT are you serious? Parkour in barefeet... I mean maybe for some moves but def. not all, at least not for me.

Rugged_Soles, in parkour upper body strength tends to be the most important thing.
