Best IMer to download?

I'd like to get an instant messanger but i'm not sure which one to go with...what do you guys reccomend? I do NOT want AOL IMer. I'm definatley anti-AOL.

 

AIM isnt so bad. I hate AOL though. If your THAT anti-aol then go with yahoo. or try msn, but thats microsoft, or try trillian for all 3

 

Basicly you can choose AIM (aol based, NOT AOL) MSNIM (microsoft) YIM (yahoo)

It seems the same amount of people use them. I bet there would be more people on AIm though because AOL users and on too...

 

yahoo is full of security holes.


aim is full of spyware.

I dont know what is wrong with msn but I am sure there is something.

Listen to broken wings trillian is the way to go, you can use Yahoo, MSN, IRC, ICQ, and AIM at the same time. Its really easy to set up, no security problems, and that way you can use AIM to without giving them any add space. You can also get lots of bad ass skins.

I use MSN and Yahoo!There're both good,I think!Well,in MSN I chat with my friends,wheras I use Yahoo when I want to go to a chatroom to meet new people because Yahoo has this option,toh,and with Yahoo! you can send msgs when the other person is not connected!
