So far, the best i've found incl taxes: Kuwaiti airlines, £292 sta travel (Quatar airlines) , £308 also i've tried expedia, ebookers, Virgin etc etc...basically all the usual ones they give in the lonely planets, rough guides and on backpacker websites. Any others I can try? Me and my friend are going to buy the Kuwaiti ones tonight if we can't find anything cheaper. To be honest 292 I think is as low as we are going to go! But if anyone knows any other airlines (think i've tried all the gulf-state ones...) then this is fairly urgent, give me a shout!
You can go one way to Hong Kong from London for as little as £89 http://www.oasishongkong.com/gb/en/home.aspx. Then you could try getting a cheapo flight from there to Bangkok.
you can take Spacer's advice and go to Hong Kong. Once you get to Hong Kong, you can find Thai Air Asia, Nok Air, or Thai Airways and use it to fly to Thailand.
Tiger Airways is also a very cheap (And new) SE Asian airline. I found a flight from London to Singapore for 330, but I may well look into going to Hong Kong first, now! £89, that's nuts! Edit: Oops, didn't see the date on original post. I hope that offer still applies!
