Do hippie guys hate women with makeup?

I wear it sometimes. to glam out if I'm going out for a night of drinks or romance. but usually no. I like the way I look. makeup just allows you the disguise of another. and sometimes it is nice to take a break from yourself and be "someone else", like a camellion. It opens up alittle room for acting out on feelings of intrigue or lust, or perhaps mystery, when normally your only yourself, a child of natural.


overall I enjoy natural beauty much more, but I do enjoy using art to change my appearances to fit my mood at times.

 

when i was about 10 i started to wear makeup, with my mom's push...she made sure that I knew that it made me look better.
so, for all my teen years, I caked on shit loads of it, especially since I had awful acne. What I didn't realize was that by doing that, I was just making the acne worse and ruining my skin.
when I met my husband, he encouraged me to stop wearing the crap, and over time, i just stoped. my skin is soooooooooooooo much nicer now. when we moved in with my mom for a few months, I started to wear it again bceause she kept telling me i wasn't preping myself to look good enough for my husband, and that was my job. Once we moved out, I stopped wearing it again. between the time we lived with her and the time by ourselves again, i just feel so much better going natural.
granted, i still wear a little bit when we're going out somewhere nice, but even then, it's a minimal amount of concealer (sp?), a tiny brush of mascara, some color on my cheeks and clear lip gloss.
most men totally preffer the natural look. i still have yet to meet a guy who wants their girlfriend or wife to wear makeup. from a guy's point of view, i would think it's gross to lean in and kiss a girl and have a bunch of makeup on my lips or something....blech. or they worry about mudging it or something and making the girl all self concious.
yeah, i'm gunna have to say natural is best.

 

I just think it looks kinda silly and is a waste of time, but id never tell that to someone wearing makeup

 

I don't think you should be getting yourself reading in the morning thinking "What can I do to make that guy look at me?" That's unhealthy. Why does it matter what they want? If they're going to overlook you for wearing makeup, do you really want to be with them?

 

thats not why most women choose to wear makeup. my friends and i wear it because we feel prettier with it - its for ourselves, not for others

 

I'm not a hippie but I definitely prefer au naturale as far as this make up thing goes

it's a matter of personal taste though.

 

I have all natural makeup that I use, no chemicals or animal testing.

 

i wear no makeup almost never..and i agree with all of you that think that natural beauty is the best..but i to had this stage in my life when i started using makeup and i went to school trying to look like all the other ''barbie'' girls mostly becuz i wanted one guy to notice me..anyway nothin happened and i found out that i dont feel ok at all cuz i feel much better without makeup so im not wearing it..

 

I think it really depends on how you use it, I never have used makeuo to look certain way, but more to have fun with it. I think makeup allows you to play with yourself and can be really fun, I never thought oh I dont look pretty if I dont wear it or I neeed to wear makeup, or anything.. but most ohh what a pretty eyeshadow.. i feel like a little girl playing with crayolas.

 

Well I don't wear makeup only cos I got sucky makeup or I suck in the art of makeup application idk.

But I do like it on other girls either when they do it lightly or artsy. Heavy application done in good taste where it's artfully done I think looks good.

 

I don't judge girls on their use of make up. its all about what you think that fits you the best.

if you do it, just try to do something that really only underlines the beauty you already have

 

Make up is the coolest! It can be punky and funky aswell as pretty. I think you should wear it if you want. I do.

 

Anyone who autmatically hates me because of what I am wearing, whether it is clothes or makeup, can kiss my arse. Their loss.

 

My mother was the same exact way. She started pushing me to wear make-up quite early, used to put it on me before school, in as early as the fourth grade! And I didn't want to wear it, I used to get upset and wash it off when I got to school because I was afraid I'd get in trouble for having it on, after all, it was elementary school for crying out loud! My mother claimed they wouldn't say anything, that she hadn't put much on me. *laughs* How often do you hear of a girl going to school washing off make-up? Usually it was the other way around with the girls I knew, they were sneaking it on at school!

To this day, my mother won't leave the house without a full face of make-up on. Me, I wear minimal make-up, most of the time you can barely tell I have any on, and I'll go without it, especially during the summer.

My grandmother was a beauty consultant, used to push cosmetics like it was crack or something. She won't leave the house without make-up either, and goodness forbid you try and snap a picture of her before she reapplies her lipstick.

 

I do my make up sometimes..
I paint my face sometimes...
I go out with my hair wet, and no makeup on somtimes..

Its however I feel...and the guy i love loves me no matter how i leave the house

 

Well. Makup is a personal choice.
But personally, make hides a chunck of who you are.. but also shows who you are.
Excessive makeup can be......(il just say) unfourtunate. But I gotta say I would never hate somone for wearing makeup. Nor would it really make me Fall for them!
But be who you are. if you enjoy make up then go for it?

 

I hate makeup, and i cant take girls seriously when they have it on ...
if my Gf has it on i tell her to take it off b4 she kisses me cuz 1 , i think it looks bad.2, i dont want that crap on my lips...3 why cover up the natural beauty god blessed you with?

I wont stand for that crap when im called pop....my girl can where make up when ... shes idk 17 MAYBE. i would say 18 or when she moves out but something tells me the wife might have a problem with it ...... i really hate the stuff lol

 

I read this article about how makeup causes breast cancer... Kinda hard to believe. But it also causes a false sense of beauty, you know? Natural is beautiful. Makeup is like having plastic surgery, in my opinion. But it can be pretty and festive, too... I just don't like wearing something that was tested on animals, that's all.

But if you want to do something that you like it's your choice.

 

I am not a guy, but i think women are beautiful without makeup. I understand some women really like to wear makeup, and i will put some mascara on ocassionally, but natural beauty is just that...beautiful....just remember beauty comes from inside, then it will show on your face
