Yah, I didn't want to start out this way. But I am a serious newbie looking for real friends. I am including my last post, I must say, just cause I am an ex-con I was just as real as everyone else on that lot! I get a-lot of negaive vibes, but I am at least being honest! I know that there are a lot of ex - cons who ask for money, friendship, etc. I am not asking for any of that. I don't want it!!! I am simply looking for honest people to simply be in touch and intro. me to new bands, believe me I am sorry if you had negative correspondence with former inmates, there are a lot of frauds out there. I am looking for nothing but friendship and insight. I am introducing myself up front, come meet me at my work first, I am not out for easyHi all! I'm brand new to this site! It was recommended by a friend! I'm 28 yrs. old. At 18 I was busted contributing money to a deal that went very wrong! They arrested me and several others, most of us didn't talk and wound up going down for several years. I spent 7 1/2 yrs. A long and crazy ride my friends! Before I was arrested I had taken interest in helping some of the downed deadheads who were subjected to the horrid sentencing structure and manditory mins. imposed. It was almost irony that I found myself experiencing it all first hand. As time went on I worked hard on a lot of those issues mostly writing letters and helping others get involve and also simply get an education. When I finally came home I had to face plenty of time on probation! I was also told to not cause any trouble in the system. Now I'm off probation and ready to take on these issues again! I hated to be quiet, but there was no point in getting sent right back! Now I am free. Finally. I'm here mostly to catch up, meet new friends, and hopefully even find some old ones! I'm still very new to the internet and this forum! So I'm finding my way through this and hope to have a wonderful time! One thing I learned since I came home is most everyone I use to know has moved on, vanished, etc. It hasn't been real easy meeting people. But whenever I hit a show today that feeling is back! I always realize how much I've missed the scene, missed all of you, and just how much love I've always had since the ride began for me at my first Dead show in June 1991! Welcome dude; From one ex to another,put it all behind you.You are free now,don't dwell on it,it is over.Don't worry about what people think,fuck em.The assholes will always be there attempting to hold you down.Your victory will come through not letting them accomplish their feat.It is a fucked up world, because they will never let you live it down.I have paid the price now for over 25 years,but I will tell you this shawdowcat,I am a helluva lot better off than the fuckers who still want to point a cynical finger at me.Hold your head high,and don't let them get to you.
