Doesn't taste too bad - I drink it when I get indigestion. Sort of tastes a bit like licorice only nowhere NEAR as strong (go get some licorice root tea.. it's bloody powerful stuff).
I use fennel-flavoured toothpaste (Kingfisher). It's a slightly weird taste but at least it makes a change from mint.
i love fennel and licorice root tea. dave prefers the licorice root tea. i just love the taste, bt i do drink it when i have an upset stomach.
Shit man, what pretenious twaddle. You'll be telling me how you eat bark and stuff. What ever happened to good olde English breakfast tea, or something similar like Asda (Wal-mart) special? Then again that would be good olde American breakfast tea, we can't be having that!
Precisely. last time we gave THOSE fuckers tea they made it with cold water! What on earth is the world coming to.. and I enjoy some good ol' breakfast tea, but fennel is nice sometimes for a change.
I haven't tried iced tea. Do you make your own or is it that stuff I've seen in cans? I take it you don't put milk in.
definitely NOT the stuff in cans. i make my own. i have an iced tea maker, too. but i only use that for my sweet tea (which is an acquired taste, it's very sweet). but for usweetened tea, you steep a buncha tea in very little water, then add icewater to it. add lemon, milk is good in sweet tea, i think. i prefer mint or lemon, though, since the idea is to refresh, not weigh down.
i've never put milk in iced tea. iced coffee yes, but not iced tea. i also might put sugar in to taste (per glass not in the whole lot) but i'm not a fan of lemon in my tea. the ONLY "instant" form of iced tea I EVER liked was Liptons Peach tea. mmmm that was yummy.
Hey I remember that, I mean Liptons was a supermarket chain at some point. I know coz I got lost in one when I was little. heheh.
really? never knew Lipton was a supermarket chain. I only thought they did tea. My mom has ALWAYS bought Lipton tea.
So it's like a cocktail drink of sorts with a dash of tea. Not really a cup of tea let's be honest, all you really need to do is boil the kettle, drop a tea bag into a cup, add milk and pour boiling water until full. You can let stand for a couple of minutes, take out the tea bag and Bob's your uncle. Nice cup of tea. What your preference of flavour will depend of either adding milk, at whatever quantity; or not. I'm partial to a cup of Earl Grey which only needs a taste of lemon.:H
well, the point of iced tea is to make the tea and get it icy cold without it turning bitter. on a hot, humid day, drinking a cup of hot tea is akin to suicide.
Mad dogs and Englishmen, they both play out in the mid-day sun. You can't allow tradition to get in the way of practicality. But it is a cocktail with tea added, nice as it sounds.
Yeah! *I shout from the side-lines raising my arm in a victory salute while thinking.* Shit I forgot about that!
