for a three day festival in late july? i think ill bring a huge grinning smile the way down and the way up, a bottle of water to keep me hydrated, three dresses and my comfy pillow. oh and maybe a birthday pin :)

seriously though what kinds of things do you bring besides a tent and all the above mentioned?

depending on where the fest is, sunscreen and bug spray come in handy. also a pair of shoes that you don't care if you loose or get muddy.

The less you bring the less you have to keep up with..think basic need.
    Water,
    toilet paper,
    tent
    sleepingbag
    coleman camp stove/fuel,
    folding table
    cooler/ice
backpack w/colthing,hat, shoes, towel, toiletries (sunscreen, bug wipes),
    1 skillet
    1 stew pot,
    coffee pot
    Slotted Spoon
    butcher's knife
    cutting board
    eating utensile, paper and plastic.

Bring foods that are non parishable, like potoes, carrots, onions, dried beans and peas. Fruits like apples, pears, oranges and bananas. hard crust breads, crackers, trail mix, jerky, dried furit and nuts. Hard Salami/sauage

Try to save your cooler space for meats/dairy and beer :) or have two coolers one for beer/drinks and one for food.

join a community kitchen and throw in your part of the food and work.

    I usually take;

    Sleeping bag
    Underwear
    Spare clothes
    Toothbrush and Toothpaste
    Hairbrush
    Nice Smelling spray
    Disposable camera
Lots of alcohol and plastic cups
    Drugs
    Guitar
    Lots of water
    Plastic bags
    Food
    Toilet paper
    Wellies
    Glo-stix

I usually go with a group of people, so we all bring certain essentials and share them-makes it lighter to carry!

I removed the food since we have a full kitchen...those suggestions wouldn't help you. Also, some of my stuff is already packed, & has been 'crossed off' (erased). If you were anything like Wonka & I you might cut and paste everbody's suggestions into 1 doc, remove duplicate suggestions, and then narrow it down from there.

You could show up with a ticket, $20, a ride home, a tent, a sleeping bag, and the clothes on your back. Or, you can do it in style. Depends on your priorities, I am old and prefer my amenities. :)

I can't go without my cap. Apart from acting as a sun shield, I also get to enjoy my anonymity in the faceless crowd.

for that i like to bring a bucket, and a bunch of those plastic bags you get at the grocery store.

just make sure you throw the bags away somewhere away from the campsites.
