My doctor is on holiday. But her stand-in tells me I have an adductor strain. He didn't give me much information on the injury..."Footballer's worst nightmare. Jonathan Woodgate had it and couldn't earn his £100'000 for a while." He gave me a persciption for Diclofenac Sodium and told me to use the RICE method (Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation). Anyone ever had this problem? Any idea how long it may take to heal? I just need to know for work really, it feels well on the mend, but I don't want to rush back and have to take even more time off. Especially since it's a relatively new job.
It only happened on Thursday so he gave me one of those "Employee's Statement of Sickness" things. Good for 1 week
maybe the answer to the question, but hey, see if someone who knows knows better. How did you do it then, playing football ? Good luck with it, a bit of R&R is never a bad thing.
Cheers, man I did it at work actually. I'm an order picker for a large supermarket chain - So I spend all day bending, lifting, stacking and loading.
That I am :uhoh2: ! I do like it though. Good wage and friendly boss-types. Plus I'm good at the job so my nervy belly doesn't play up that much It's really relaxed too. You've got your target to hit (which is to pick 1400 items) - As long as you do that you can manage your time however you want to.
that answers that question sorry to hear about your strain. not even sure where something like that would be located; so i'm of no help.
As far as I can tell an adductor strain is just a groin strain. That's the area the pain's located in anyway! Inner thigh. Hurts to both cross and spread legs!
ouch ... poor you. i'll have you know however that everytime i see the subject of this thread i think it's about some rock band. that's my randomness for the evening.
