Does anybody remember playing the old nintendo as a kid? NOT the super nintnedo, but the original nintendo, the one that only had like 2 buttons and a control pad and a start and select button. Does anybody remember the games like Mario Brothers and duck hunt?

the 'old' nintendo had yet to exist when i was a kid. it had yet to exist before i was over 30.

electronics was vacume tubes when i was a kid. transistors when i was in highschool. ic's didn't hit the retail market until i was in my 20s.

we did have cars and busses and trains instead of horses. more busses and trains then cars though. and that was one of the good things actually. it ment everything wasn't wall to wall pavement and parking lots.

the exciting thing for me, when all that game stuff was new, was basic with line numbers. which was crazy, but more accessable then fortran.

you could actually write your own drivers for your own periferals without having to be a rocket scientest or wade through propritory nominclature that keeps chainging like the model years of automobiles to throw you off.

not on nintendo, which is why it didn't intrest me, but on those little 8 bit wonders we used to have. they'd never run what i'm using this maching for now. but i do miss spegetti coding.

I cant remember if it was super nintendo or the older version, pretty sure it was the older version but I used to love that!!

I used to love playing Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Super Mario, that game with those little dinosaurs and the bubble machine...my brother had the Duke Nukem game we used to play...Ahh what good time's.

man I do remember it, how much I enjoyed playing with it, especially when I had my leg broken so I was housebound..Mario Bros and Duck Hunt were included in the package, while other games should be bought at the shop and did cost money, I rember...Total Recall, amazing!! even better than the movie! off road, that you could play simultaneously 4 people! no, nintendo was great! we had so much fun...

I was not allowed to play duck hunt unless my parents were in the room because we would get excited and hit the tv with the gun!

I was an original NES system junkie... but unfortunately, with 5 boys, the system was overloaded with so many games going in and out of the system, plus the tugging and pulling on the controllers, and just general abuse of the system..... the system is no longer. Ive been wanting to get a restored NES system, because I miss all of those games.

    I do have a nintendo 64 still.....

Ahhh... the days of the NES... The good ol' days.

My favorite game of all time is still the original Final Fantasy. New games cannot compare IMO to the old schol games.

I got the NES the first year it came out at Christmas. I spent countless hours playing Zelda and Zelda II A link to the past.
