Going on vision quest soon, would acid be a good addition?

I was justt wondering, and ill also add that im 13.

 

yourne not ready for a vision quest. if you had any respect for the ritual, youd hold off until you are ready to become a man.

 

I was told by my father that I was ready, I had no dealings in the decision.

 

We can't tell you, and you don't really know yourself. It's a gamble. Personally, I think a lot of 13 year olds aren't ready to mess about with serious psychedelics.

Then again, I was 14 when i took my first mushroom trip, and it changed my life. Well it didn't really, it faded, which was annoying, but it taught me a lot about myself. I started to understand the ego structure I create, and experienced some insane synchronicity (meaningful coincidence) which confirmed to me there is something really groovy about the Universe.

Hard to say, I know at 13 if I took acid I would gekk the fuck out, then again I was not raised by parents recomending I take a vision quest.

 

Im thinking about doing just a half-hit, just so for that reason Fallout.

 

acid isnt as strong as it was in the 60's. so you probably wont get as gekked out. but if youre going on a vision trip, you want to have an actualy vision, probably. not anything from a pill.

Trichocereus cactus or Psilocybin. LSD doesn't really fit into a vision quest unless you take 5+ hits. I dropped a couple times when I was 14, didn't affect me nearly as much as smoking tons of MJ back then did. I would say wait until 15-16. That is the normal age for traditional Vision Quests and stuff if I am not mistaken. Whatever just don't take 1/2 a hit, or even just 1 hit because these days a dose like that is more like taking a pill of Dexedrine than having a Psychedelic experience. I'd suggest just bringing some grass, and maybe a fine ladyfriend into the forest if you want to become a man.

 

13 is seriously young, my first time shrooms I was 15 and my first time LSD 17; which I think are advicable ages. And if you feel like it and think you're ready and have someone to guide you, start off with a really low dose, in an not fully developed brain it might work stronger.

 

Acid is good for vision quests if you're deadhead.

 

lsd is counter productive to the vissionquest
it will cause halucinations not true vissions
the vissionquest is about enduring hardships, exposure to the elements, hunger thirst, loneliness, it MUST be entered into from a clear mind, fasting, sweatting, chanting, focusing on spirit
lsd on the other hand adds confusion to thoughts, unfocused visual stimulation, you'll be distracted from the quest by every cloud in the sky, and wont return to the proper mindset for the vissions for days.

peyote, & the like can possibly be a part of the vission quest, if & only if the quest itself leads u there.. i.e: if your stumbling through the dessert & come across some that calls to you.

you cannot plan a vissionquest, you must allow it
you cannot bring anything on a vissionquest, u must go alone with nothing, no expectations even, all u need for your vission will be provided

the vission comes from spirit, not chemicals
when u return to tell your vission, all will know the difference between true vision & chem induced halucinations
your dad thinks your old enough, dont disapoint him with a cheap easy false vission

just because lsd is a chemical does not make what happens false in any way.

the idea that someone could take a drug as powerful as lsd thinking that it was not a 'real' experience is completely insane and would most likely lead one to a dark place.

lsd opens you up to what is real and true in yourself and thus the universe. your imagination may play tricks on you - what you see are in fact visions that you can take meaning from. i wouldnt listen to this guys inabilities to accept what he saw as part of himself as he clings to the idea that lsd creates meaningless hallucinations.

having said that, i think that lsd would be a great addition to any vision quest if the person was ready. although i can not say for sure, i would guess that 13 is too young for lsd. if i was your father i would tell you to try the vision quest without lsd this time. wait till you are in your late teens or early twenties before you try it with lsd.

an lsd trip is much like a vision quest. if you dont agree you will most likely stop using lsd when you 'grow out of it' or 'grow up'. people who respect lsd for what it is usually enjoy wonderful life changing experiences much like that of a vision quest.

lsd is a chemical key that unlocks what is already existing inside of you. the trip you experience was not packed into a little piece of paper waiting for you to put it in your mouth. the trip was in you waiting to be opened.

 

so what your saying, 3xi, is that even if I dont take the LSD, Ill still trip!?!? SWEET!?!?!

 

Since man has been around, "tripping" has been induced by fasting, torture and other deprivations. Peyote too, but the true spirit quests are suppose to be near death.
